Es hat noch nicht in meinem Land geschneit, ....aber es wird im Gebirge bald schneien. Zu Weihnachten essen wir ein leckeres Abendessen mit vielen kleinen Speisen , obwohl die Situation dieses Jahr ganz anders ist.Die Zahl der Gäste ist nicht sehr groß. ...nur zwischen uns...die Coronakrise ist leider nicht zu Ende. I do live in an area that gets snow, but not every year. We got about 9" last Thursday. We had not had snow for almost two years prior, so this was something else. Since then, it has been raining and it is now all melted. I have a lot of fun over Christmas as it is my favorite holiday of the whole year. We have two Christmas trees here at the house and the inside of the house is decorated with nice warm lights so when evening comes it is very warm and glowing inside. I do not do too much outdoor decorating, just a few things. I get a lot of baked goods from friends and neighbors so I do not have to do much baking myself. I am fortunate to have two ALDI stores and a LIDL which I very much like shopping at. I see lots of German cakes, cookies and candies there which are definitely part of my Christmas and will be in the future. Merry Christmas Anja and to all who help make your fantastic videos. I do so enjoy watching them and they are very nicely done and do help me tremendously. A healthy and happy 2021 to all!

Merry Christmas to you, too! We had a lot of snow last week, and yes, I know stollen well. My German grandmother used to make it every year and my father LOVES it. When she died, I started baking it for him even though he's the only one in the family who likes it! I hope your mother enjoys her birthday season (though, obviously, I wouldn't wish her a happy birthday early--I know better!).
