Also from Canada. I carry dog spray every time I take my dog for a walk. We had a scary dog attack while out for a walk. It’s also comforting to know if I feel uncomfortable with a human I have it as well.

Great advice Amanda! I agree with all the tips given. It's important to not live in fear, but always be aware!

Very informative and important video. I was about to suggest a personal beacon locator (watching David Paulides recommending people having such a device), but you should be good if you've got in on the iPhone. Again, thank you for making this video; it is an important topic! 😎

PS: I have a video topic suggestion! For us who don't live in Canada, it would be wonderful to have a video (or a series, maybe?) on places worth visiting in Canada! Nature, city life, small towns, quirky places, cozy places, cool places... I'd love to visit Canada one day, but it would be great to hear from a Canadian. Which areas are worth visiting? What are some things you should do in Canada? 😄

Great idea! I've been making a few short videos on small town to visit but this is a great suggestion to make them into long form. Thanks!

Hi Amanda, thanks for this, super helpful! I haven't had time to watch many videos later (toddler life!), and was surprised you had gotten onto that strange and distracting microphone holding trend... all the years I've been subscribed, I've always been able to hear you just fine without one of those, just to add my irrelevant opinion! 😉

Ha! I usually pin it to my shirt or use a shotgun mic, so just know I’ve always had good audio 😉 Thanks for being here!
