Dez, I leave my battle recording settings on ‘last’. If I want my last battle to not be overridden then I just rename the file in the recordings folder. This way the game doesn’t just record all the games and clutter the folder. You have to be really careful though and remember to save the recording this way before you finish another battle. I got used to it now, just an alternative method.

My friend, 1 small advice, Keep the talking to minimum, there is way too much talk in your videos and many of us just try and skip the videos, or not watch it at all, keep the giberish talking to minimum, make your videos more informative if that is their purpose and talk on on subject, you're talking way too much arround the subject or off it, and you and up with boring videos that nost of us getting tired after 4 min and stop it... Talk less, more info, less giberish talk and more on the subject info ;)

If u blindfire "invisible" targets, its useful to put the effects in sniper mode to 1 bar above "None" - it can help you a lot to see, if the shot actually hit a target or only the terrain.

The dynamic camera was an absolute lifesaver!! I upped my average damage in the CS 52 by about 1000 with that alone.

@@juanzulu1318 With the dynamic camera turned on, your view shakes when you fire. With it turned off you can see where the shell flies and correct your aim. Happy hunting :)

Dude I just disabled it thanks to this video, I never knew what it was doing as I never tested while moving or shooting. IT IS SO WEIRD! The camera doesn't shake or move at all anymore, I have to adjust, but it is so much better

The enhanced physics are definitely a "off" for me too and always have been. It's such a disadvantage in clutch situations especially to have them turned on. Let's say you play around a destructable house for example in a 1v1 and need to go through it and then shoot as quick as possible upon destroying it. With the enhanced physics turned off the house is instantly gone and you have clear sight. With the enhanced physics turned on however the house will just slowly crumble and there'll be pieces and debris everywhere perhaps even blocking up your sight in sniper mode.

21:15 That's extra effects in Sniper Mode? Omg, this actually helps me a lot. There was a game in which I was a JagdPanther II and I was trying to shoot a guy through sniper mode, but the flaming wreck of an ally tank was in front of me, so everytime I switched to Sniper mode the smoke effects made the screen all wobbly; because I couldn't see anything, I ricocheted many shots and the enemy tank rushed me and finally took me down. During that time I was screaming "Wtf is this smoke? How can I turn it off? I can't see anything!", and now I finally found the right option. Thank you for this awsome guide.

Hey Dez, Antialiasing in graphic settings can literally half the performance of graphic card - especially old ones. Would recommend this to be fully off on slower machines.

leave your platoon request on...if you get three kills look around and see if someone else also has three and invite to platoon at the end of the game, this is great for "brothers in arms" I do it all the time. always ignore them at the beginning of the game

Better yet if you have 3 people who get 12 kills together, you can platoon up and get Crucial Contribution.

- Terrain Quality has gameplay effect. It is very much recommended to use the highest possible, since there can be a difference between your client and the server. If you set it to low, you might end up shooting invisible walls, which are invisible on low for your client, but visible on high for both client and server. - Extra Effects in Sniper Mode can be useful to keep. For example, when you blindshoot a position and miss, you will see a small dust cloud at the impact. If you hit the target, no cloud will be displayed. You can clearly tell if you are hitting someone blind or not. Also, if you want to counter arty, or tell if your arty shell hit the target, it is way harder, since neither tracers and impacts are shown properly.

VERY helpful. I uninstalled XVM after watching this, as I was under the impression it was the only way to get last known positions. I much prefer the idea of using the clean basic install - so there's no question of unfair mod advantages over other players.

19:11 I think track traces don't fall under that setting. They have a separate one. Terrain tessellation refers to all terrain including rocks, hills etc.

I found that gamma setting in the game reduces fps compared to zero gamma, this could be useful for players with laptops and low PC

Texture quality doesn't affect your fps (if you have enough vram) . It just uses more vram and nothing else.

16:35 years ago ... you could simulate a extra super wide monitor, on a not a wide monitor, by using windowed_with_border. by minimising the hight of the windowed_with_border and maxing out the width of the windowed_with_border, essentially you could make your screen ~2,5x wider, then it normaly is. this was due to the camera ingame was locked to the hight of the monitor (in this case windowed_with_border, with border because you can stretch it to desired size). without distortion and compromising the video. the camera will render the hight as usual, but the extra coverage to the sides, without distortion and no changes to field of wiev. the video would simply render that are of the camera as "normal" --> "extra+extra_wide_monitor" (depending on width/hight ratio you manage to stretch the borders to). the only real downside is the overal size of the extra extra wide screen ... ... is it's still only displayed on a normal_monitor, as in the windowed_with_border, will be tiny. doing this on a wide 24* monitor, you could simulate an ~12* hight / ~48* width monitor

Client reticle is ahead of time by half the amount of time as server reticle is behind the actual reticle the server uses to calculate your shots.

Nice one Dez Initially I thought there will be nothing useful for me here but I was wrong! Didn't know the dynamic camera does that for instance. Good call on the destruction models too, also considering when building pieces are stuck on the tank (even better is the rare occasion when the debris is covering the view in sniper mode). Turn off grass in sniper mode is the big one for me, regularly hitting the ground in close combat. I've been blaming the game's winner RNG for this, will be interesting to see if things get better now.

@Dezgames. Correction for 19:00-19-30 Tessalation of Terrain is NOT for showing tracks in terrain. It IS for reducing Jaggies of lines in the Terrain. Thus is dependant upon how good your GPU is. but will only gain a few FPS if your on a low power GPU most midrange GPU's from say GTX1050Ti/RX460 onwards should easily deal with processing those details and not impact FPS enough to matter but will make details of terrain more "smooth edged" Track details on Terrain is a seprate setting and that is dependant upon how much Vram your GPU has ( it stores the Cache of tracks impression for longer in Vram) so those with 6GB upwards shouldnt be affected by it if they leave it on. Just a little bit of Technical details for you.
