Great Video. Really appreciate it. Just changed around my mod pack to begin with this one and adding my pref stuff (such as I like the xvm stats post game and in the garage, but not in battles, and a couple of other things).

Its good to know that I chose most of these when I went through the first time. There were only a couple that I didn't either choose, or choose an alternative for. (Such as the other mods for many zoom levels, and the one that lets you zoom out from your tank up to like 400 or 600 meters and see almost the whole map.) I also use the autoaim helper. It comes in handy at times when I'm playing wheelies. You can press the autoaim button and you can set a time frame during which if you mouse over an enemy, it will automatically autoaim onto them. Its useful when trying to get the autoaim to work on a small moving target when you are also moving.

This just shows how inept WG is. A lot of the mods are just small QoL improvements. They added "death cam" but showing all shots/hits (as Battle Hits does) is a no. Why do I have to go external websites to see detailed armor layout (and modules for that matter)? This should be available in the game (along with hidden stats like terrain resistances).

@@durachoks MODS were a big fight for a very long time early on. They first added a few of those players seemed to like, and said that's it. That's all you get. Well, the players wanted the stats back to argue over. Have to see if my team is any good before the game starts, right? You see, the MODS being used here are in trust to do the right thing. Many people still bicker about those that turn a bunch pf them on and play. That's right, where you go to get these MODS has those MODS too. It's the same MOD. So, as you all use the same MOD, complaining that they allow MODS. It's the players, not WG that is the issue with MODS. Players want them and use them. Most just don't play with all of it turned on. Your choice, WG took themselves out of the conversation years ago. Unless it cross what ever line they have against hacking. The rules.

All of you forget a big and important mod that is in NON XVM section in AIM HELPING MODS section that mod is called BalCalcMod (Ballistic Calculator Mod) it helps you to lock gun elevation for a certain distance, incredible for blindshots, ridge line shots and also cupola snipes...

My favorite Aslains Mod is "Original WG Icons colored w/my style and Arab Tiers" under Non-XVM Mods, Vehicle Contours. This mod designates each type of tank with a specific color, makes it very easy to identify enemy tanks. Green=lights; Red = Heavies; Yellow = Meds, Tds = Blue, SPG = Purple.

1 mod which i think its missing is paintball mod. Sometimes its super hard to see where you're getting penetrated due to various factors. Lightning, tank skin for example. With this you can easily see any hit received, pen or non pen.

In some rare scenarios Safe shot can be a problem. For example if u lead a target and at that point there is a moving friendly. U cannot shoot due to the mod. In vanilla u could.

Maybe I will use "Aslain´s Modpack" in the future. I think some of these Mods actually make you win more games. I also love your "high level commentary" videos. I absolutely agree with turning of player stats. I used to have it on for a little but and my god did it make me play SO MUCH worse, not even for the toxicity part.

Then you used it wrong because it definitely helped me improve my gameplay. There's a huge difference if I see an enemy let's say ELC 90 with 800wn8 and shit stats on his tank compared to someone with 2k+ wn8 and really good stats on the tank. One will MOST likely have better equipment, better crew and better positioning than the other player and you can react according to that. Same with brawling in cities. If I see an enemy tank brawling in the city with really bad stats it's way easier to play mind games on them, angling your tank and generally outplaying them. XVM is a veeeeery useful tool if you know how to use it

And you dont normally know what to do against the other LT, like how to outspot him, play safe in case if he aggressive play or not, what better default distance you must hold. That called a skilled play, by learning these terms you will be able to understand the game mechanic's, not trying to read a player "Is he an idiot or not 🤔" , you must know the Possible or Default gameplays of different types of tanks. All Together It's Called KNOWLEDGE! 😊

For example if you see that both teams have two top tier heavy tanks that are most likely going to fight over a crucial part of the map and one team has much better players in their heavies, you can plan whether you need to go help them or not. XVM lets you predict how the battle is going to play out, thus helping you choose where to go.

Maybe someday it will occur to WG that it is time to introduce mods directly into the game, such as the MOE indicator, the hit indicator, your equipment in battle, auto-return of equipment. At least these small improvements to the game, which are definitely not difficult to implement, will be an important change for the comfort of players. especially for those who play through cloud services where it is impossible to use mods

I would add the one that allows to draw arrows on minimap, it helps to communicate (with who? that's the question.. Most of the time nobody communicates). Even the right click on minimap is almost never used to say "I'm going on this position"

The drawing on the minimap only works if the people you are trying to communicate with also have xvm with Data exchange with allies (XMQP) enabled, so there is a good chance others do not have the ability to see what you are drawing.

Right now since 1.26.1.1 I am unable to use any mods anymore because dead tanks are not dead on my screen and sometimes don't even lose HP visually despite losing hp. Also, my tank is getting destroyed but is still alive for 10 seconds before teleporting back dead to the position where I just died. I cleaned my mod folder and anything work properly. Hopefully they remove the bug because i am clearly not alone.

I have to say that you're right about xvm mods, it can really give you a bad impression on other players. However, the reason I want to install xvm mod is to learn from the best. If there happens to be a better player I'd rather learn his approach and tactics to improve my games and not being toxic on low wr% players.

Better Reticle size probably the best mod out there. Made many stupid tanks playable.

The player who checked the dispersion of the shots did so while the reticle was fully focused and at a standstill. He concluded that the true dispersion in such a situation, is smaller than indicated by the in-game reticle. Here he is correct. On the other hand, he did not verify how the dispersion of shots behaves when the aiming scope is 90% focused or the tank is in motion. Then the dispersion parameters of the in-game reticle reflect the original size of the server reticle (without mod). Therefore, if you play with a mod which reduces the size of the reticle, in a situation where the real server reticle is not fully focused, the projectile dispersion will be greater than the installed mod would suggest. It's really bad mod.

xvm is one of the most valuable mod in the game. a lot of the current in game features were actually long part of xvm mod, it did more than showing players stats. and what is toxic or not depends on your perspective. I can say that 90% of the time the person in your team, who is complaining the most, who is calling everyone noob is also the worst player in the team, 20K battles, 43% win and calling everyone a bot. So what does this have to do with xvm? if that guy had xvm installed would he be spamming the chat the entire game insulting everyone that is better than him? for a lot of least experience players, they can see who in their team is good, so they can play following the lead of these better players. For dead players, they can see which player alive is good, so they can spectate them play and learn something. For the bots with big mouth, they can see objectively they are bots, so they will shut up and stop blaming the team. xvm is the best thing possible to everyone. a 28% chance to win and started off with GG, and the team actually ended up winning just prove exactly that xvm has no impact in the game. and people saying gg is not toxic, why is it toxic? they are not insulting anyone, they are not throwing away their tank driving into water, there is nothing toxic about this.

Just use the iyouxin setup in the installer, It will automatically add all of these mods with one click, you can then disable any of the mods you don't want.

Nice video, I will try these mods asap. But I have one question - how the heck you move the camera around the vehicle WITHOUT moving your turret?! Whenever I use the tactical view or just wanna see whats happening behind or next to me, my turret (and gun of course) turns in that direction...? Is there a mod or something? In the OldSkool safe shot mod settings there's a timer "for how long the shots are blocked" that's set to 3 seconds default. What does that mean? I can't shoot at all for 3 whole seconds after a shot is blocked?

If you were to keep aiming at the dead tank and holding left click, after 3 seconds it will stop blocking your shot and allow you to shoot again. If you move your mouse off the dead tank before that though you will instantly be able to shoot again.
