My GE microwave from 2005 finally crapped out. At first kzbin.infoUgkxO_Bc204MGjxDl87cOKcdgaRhzSqGmv_g I was unsure because I was looking for something with the exact same features. Found it with this one. Interior space cavity was large, but the outside was smaller than my old one. I love the one-button push for 1-6 minutes, and the 30 second add or 30 second start. and MOST IMPORTANTLY, I love how you can adjust the power level during cooking. The reviews said it could not be done, but this marked all the other boxes. and happy to say, it does. I can hit 1 minute start, and change the power level from 10 to 5, 30 seconds in, without interruption. my favorite feature!

Great video. I plan to buy the wood pellet original. Just had some pizza from that one last night at a friend's house, and it was probably the best pizza I've ever had. The crust and dough are on a whole other level vs. local pizzerias. I make my own pizza in a standard oven, and even that is much better than any pizza joint. But cooking with an ooni is just amazing.

Hey man glad you liked the video. I've reviewed the fyra in another video if you want to check it out. But I think if you like making pizza and can afford some extra $$$ shrsl.com/3t11f is the way to go with the gas attachment.

Thanks for a great video. Lots of really useful tips! I felt anxious watching though. 😬 Your ooni legs are so close to the edge of the table i kept expecting it to tumble off with each launch! 😮😂

😜 it is a tight fit but these Oonis are solid!

Interesting - I use wood and found that my stone will get over 550 °C in about 30 mins. Had to let it cool down. I thought that the IR thermometer was set to °F! This was in the spring in Canada so ambient temperatures were moderate. Agree that if cooking many pizzas and/or with company that the time to deal with loading wood is more complicated than using propane. Will see how things work with wood when the temps are below freezing.

Quality of the wood is key, you probably have access to high density, high temp burning food. Curious to hear how you get on cooking in the Canadian cold!

which one would you prfer the roccbox or karu?
@GetCooking22 күн бұрын
They are quite similar once the ooni has the gas attachment. The roccbox is heavier so feels sturdier…the ooni is better to carry around so depends what you need it for

If you have the gas attachment screwed on and want to cook with wood occasionally, do you have to remove the gas attachment?
@GetCooking Жыл бұрын
Yes Chris, you need to remove it. But it takes 3mins…

Nice video! Lets say i want to use my oven at 410 c°. Does it take too long to get back to temperature between pizzas using gas?
@GetCooking5 ай бұрын
With wood only it does take longer, with gas, i put it to the max between pizzas and by the time i have made the other pizza the stone is back to temp.

Grazie! Using wood and charcoal, it still takes me nearly an hour to get the oven up to 450. Gas sounds like the way to go.

Yes and it is inconsistent i find…i’ve moved to gas and never looked back!

Il mondo e' piccolo Stefano. Ho trovato questo video cercando informazioni sul Karu 12. Io sono il papa' dei gemelli di BoPeep se ti ricordi!

Veramente! spero stiate tutti bene! Il Karu e' bello ma con il gas...se lo usi solo con la legna lo trovo un po troppo impegnativo....

Does karu with gas burner works the same as ooni koda?
@GetCooking Жыл бұрын
Have not tried the koda but with the gas attachment it works very very well

Why does the pizza need 400 degrees C ? Have you tried baking it in lower temperature? How about bread, can this oven bake bread?
@GetCooking11 ай бұрын
at that temperature you get a fast cook, making the base a little crusty and keeping the dough nicely moist and soft. You can cook at lower temp but you will get a different type of pizza on the way out. Yes you can do bread and other things but they take some practice as longer cook need you to be really on top of the temperature
