You can also copy that link (the link he shows at 2:14 to 2:29) to one of your videos from the video's "Edit" page. This is where I copy the link to my videos to store on a convenient Excel form that I use to organize my work. Or when I'm working in Studio and bring up a particular video, it's in "Edit" mode anyway and that little "Copy" icon is to the right of the video's link. Just click the Copy icon with one click. (Instead of being in the video, clicking "Share" and clicking "Copy".)

There is not a limit to how many links you can post but there is a limit to how many characters you can use (characters being anything on your keyboard that you type out) once you run out of space you cannot put any more

For outside websites (even for my own website), I never just type the domain into the description box. I only open a new tab, go to the webpage I want, and then highlight the text in the url field. Copy that url text. Click in the description box where I want it and paste. That is the best and fastest way to put the real live link into the DC.

The way YT handles links is a complete horror. I understand why they do it, but it is really frustrating. I like to include links to supporting documents and sources for my videos and I really struggle with this. I have found a hack that helps though. You need to write a few placeholder characters - such as ghghgf - and the press return. You then copy the link you need and then select the random letters and paste in the link. The thing is then not to press space or return after you have pasted the link as it will then make it a link. You just need to leave it. That seems to work for me.

OMG! I can't tell you how long and how many times I've tried to add links and failed. I always clicked return to "see" that the link "worked", then clicked save and the link would be an "@" symbol. You are the only one I have seen to mention this. Thank you, thank you.

5:02 Here you can just hover over the link, right click and click on _Copy link address_ That should work fine because it copies the source link and not the text. I said that because it doesn't reuquire to enter in creator studio to do that. Cheers and good explaining!

Two points. 1) If you right click those links with the '...' and select copy link, or copy link location and then paste it into the address bar, it will work. 2) You can't add a clickable link into the description until after you go through a verification process.

QUESTION FOR YA!! Mom and I have a fairly new channel. When uploading our last video... we updated the description a day or so after uploading. Within the updated description we left an Amazon link to her library. Thereafter, the video disappeared. Two weeks later we removed the link and the very next day the video reappeared. Was our assumption correct that KZbin doesn’t like links with new channels? If so, is there something we can do to still have videos show up with links?

I have several links within my upload defaults that go off site, and they don't seem to ever work unless I copy and paste the exact same link a second time after uploading and save it. Any idea why? They aren't shortened or anything, and all include etc...
