Btw the cosine rule can be rearranges to find the angle aswell which is Cos(a)=b^2+c^2-a^2/2bc

The sine rule and cosine rule for when finding the angle have not been mentioned. They are SinA/a = SINB/b = SINC/c COSA= b^2 + c^2 - a^2 / 2bc

Wow, I'm jealous! I'm currently in the middle of doing my GCSEs... 12 down and 8 left to do (including 2nd maths paper). I found the first maths paper rather easy, hoping for over 90% and I would've loved if we were expected to memorise the equations because I've been over them so many times it's second nature! That way, it would be more relative and I'd hopefully perform better in comparison. To all of you doing them next year, lucky you and good luck, haha.

Help for sin and cosine rules- side a is always the longest side (so angle A is always opposite the longest side) 😝✨😘🍕

You can change which side is a and, correspondingly, which angle is A depending on the question. In our recent mock, one of the questions required us to work out the area of the triangle and then change around the side and angle labels in order to use cosine rule to find the side for the answer.
