must-read books for fall + my fall tbr ✨🍂

i would not have guessed you only started reading during february honestly! love the spooky vibes. i don't really do much horror myself but my first seasonal ish rec for is babel by r.f. kuang (i feel like the dark academia vibes just fits this season) which i finished a few days ago and i loved it. i'd also recommend the vegetarian by han kang (kinda odd, slightly creepy) and tokyo express (just a solid mystery novel) by seicho matsumoto. i've also been meaning to read one dark window and if we were villains so i'll check them out!

Also for six of crows, i dont reamly know a lot about tropes but there is also really intresting characters and i saw the series before too but i feel like kaz breker is clearly better in the book than in the series. Also there is like really really smats plans that will lake you feel dumb, flawed but really heartwarming character. There is a few romance subplots, and the fantasy and plot twists are some of the best i ever read. The signs were there but i was oblivious till the last second. Also the writting style of the author is deadly. Emotion pierce through the page right to your heart. Anyway its one of my fav book ever and i hope you ll read it and maybe do a review but all of those books seems nice too

I LOVED Starling House. It's such a great spooky house read and it's on track to be one of my favorite books of this year. Would highly recommend! It has a lot of symbolism and themes/commentary on family, love, hope, and what it means to be human. I would love to know your thoughts once you end up finishing it! 🥰

I DNFed The Library at Mount Char early this year, but only because I decided that it was more of a fall read. I got about 1/4 through it. Actually, I'm about to restart it today. Also, I'm not saying it's true or that Ninth House isn't good, but pretty much every other horror book has a blurb from Stephen King. I don't believe he's reading through all of these. This is my conspiracy theory.
