I grew up on the EC reprints in the 1990s. Just read through Shiver. The stories build up quite nicely but the endings are not quite there. I was invested in the time machine story but it ended so abruptly. The ornament story was good but readers deserved to see the ungrateful adult children meet a fulfilling fate. I'll continue supporting the anthologies though.
