From experience: The Static V Insulated pad is trash. For less, you can buy a One Tigris Insulated pad that isn't nearly as loud as some Insulated pads and gives a ton of cushion off the ground. I just used it in the Sawtooth Mountain Range in northeastern Minnesota. The Static V will collapse your hips to the ground. It shouldn't even exist, IMO.
