The open lever acts as a half to whatever number you have on. So if you have a 1 guard on and lever is open, that’s a 1.5
@hebwowvwhossow78294 жыл бұрын
Lewis Cook what about if it’s open halfway on a guard one does that mean 1.5? And if ur on guard one full does that mean ur on guests 2

Bro the title of the video doesn't lie,I watched a bunch of tutorials and they either go thru the process fast and they don't explain in detail of what they doing. Alot of them don't even show what they mean by closed/open lever. Plus they don't cut their own hair like most of us are trying to do. Plus you gave yourself a fade without 1.5 guards like alot of every day Joe's that don't have those guard's. You killed it bro.

Thank for making this possible, here in Nigeria (Africa) you hardly see clippers with the 0.5 & 1.5 guard. So the lines created at clipper open and 1 guard close are most often not taken out completely. This will help me a lot next time in the shop when giving a haircut. Almost done with my barber apprenticeship relationship with my master. Once again thank you for this.

Good work. Been doing this for 15+ years. Even cut my own hair for my wedding day. Getting to that point wasn't easy. Many rough trims in high school. Keys to a good trim is confidence, time, two shavers one for lines the other for cutting, mirror positioning for two mirrors and lighting. Bit of music can help to determine how your hair cut will turn out too.
@chrisprgaming2435 Жыл бұрын
True about the music, helps for me. I just started cutting my own hair days ago, still kinda nervous to use the equipment but music and some hemp helps lol Did my 1st ever haircut on one of my fam members and not bad for a newbie

Thank you for showing/writing exactly which guard and lever positions you were using. Ive always been handy w the clippers but never tried doin a fade- Ive done it maybe 6 or 7 times now and im lovin it! It looks dope and I can ALWAYS keep it fresh!! I truly believe Supercuts, Sportsclips, Fantastic Sams and that type hire people off the street. NEVER once had a decent cut at any of these places. Amateurs who have no clue whatsoever how to pull off a fade. Walking out looking like you lost a bet which involved letting a blind epileptic diabetic crashing cut your hair. No disrespect to anyone just trying to drive home the point how terrible most of those chain places are.

i like that pro tip explaining the use of the corners in absence of a guard to finish off a fade. This is great stuff to learn. Just cut my hair today, straight hair Asian poofy buzz cut down to a 3 on top, 1.5 on the sides and like a .5 bottom and rear. The light is to my 2 o clock so it was kinda hard to get a sense of the lines even with a hand mirror but i made it work, in direct light it really makes the fade like not appear until you are in a darker lit room. Anyways, great video you put toghether explaining stuff

Thank you for explaining properly how you knock out each individual fade line. I’ve been cutting my own hair lately & have watched other videos & I don’t think I’ve heard them describe fading the lines out like you. That’s the hardest part for me as a beginner. I do the initial guideline great, but end up making my fade lines too high. I wasn’t going up a little, then opening the blade for each guideline. I was also using the whole blade, instead of the corner to break up the lines. Luckily I’ve got a .5 guard so I’m looking forward to trying this out again. Thanks!

If you don't have a one, and a half guard, put the number one guard, and put the level half way, creating a one and a half. If you don't have a number one guard, just use the trimmer with no guard, but with the lever all the way one. The level all the way open with no guard is a number one. If you put on a number one guard, and the lever all the way open, you have a number 2.

Obejrzałem setki samouczków na yt i nic z tego nie rozumiałem. Twój poradnik jest niesamowity, wyjaśnia wszystko dokładnie krok po kroku. Thank you so much ❤ Pozdrowienia z Polski 🇵🇱 ❤
