I'm interested in your side by side comparison / review. I've been using an Okki Nokki for several years now and would like to get an ultrasonic cleaner. I few reviews on the original HumminGuru indicated that the UltraSonic power was weaker than expected. HumminGuru is on point with their pricing though!!

Hi there! I just finished my notes and now it’s down to filming. In the meantime, I’ll share not to get caught up on the frequency. Both the HG01 and the NOVA perform exceptionally well. I’ve cleaned over 2,000 records so far and haven’t found one that I couldn’t get clean. 🧼

It makes a huge difference. It’s one of those tools that you didn’t know you needed, and once you have one, you can’t imagine not having it.

@vinyllatte Thanks for the unboxing. I never did replace my VPI 16.5 that I have had for over a decade with the original Humminguru. Like you, I clean everything whether it is new or pre-owned before it hits the table. I am finally at a place where I want a cleaning method that is less manual and also may provide a better cleaning outcome than a vacuum machine. I will be anticipating your review of the new Nova. BTW, what cleaning solvent do you currently use in addition to the drying agent you mentioned in the video?

Thank YOU for watching! I’m glad to be with good company in regard to cleaning new and pre-owned records. The Humminguru is fairly automatic, and it doesn’t need to be babysat. Simply add water, insert record, and start the cleaning process. Come back in 2-5 minutes and repeat with another record. Once I went the cavitation route, I honestly can’t go back. The solution I use is The Small Bottle from HG. It not only is a cleaning solvent, but a drying agent as well: amzn.to/3XMGhrU

I just talked to my local dealer and he said that they won‘t sell the Nova anymore as two customer brought it back because the maschine does not not completely dry after a 3-min drying cycle. What‘s your option on that?

If three-minutes is not sufficient, there is an extended drying setting. I use two drops of The Small Bottle per reservoir fill and have never had an issue with drying time (nor HG01 or NOVA).

Does this actually work I only ask cause I bought the stylus cleaner an don't think much of it I eventually went back to my old way of cleaning my stylus

The HG is a brilliant machine. I have the Duo as well and I don’t use it much. However, I use the HG every day, multiple times a day. It makes a big difference and has become ‘the’ method for cleaning records for me. I’ll dive a bit more into it in the upcoming review 😉

Does this mean the original is trash now? If the original is great at cleaning records why did they need a new model? Also, you don't need cleaning fluid because the cavitation does the cleaning, I'd love someone to explain exactly what cleaning fluid is supposed to be doing
