Another issue of no respect for emergency services, the person operating the vehicle needs to be fined, Ladder 25’s officer and crew have shown a lot of restraint. Next time maybe the bumper should be used to move the vehicle. This is a great video, hopefully others learn from this issue. Stay warm and well.

Back in the 80s, I watched an Engine Company in a big city to the south of NYC push a car who refused to move despite being triple parked (yeah, street looked like a parking lot). Guy sat there, immobile and extended a "You're Number One" hand gesture out the sunroof. The LT started slashing his hand in a forward motion, and the engineer stomped on the throttle. I sat behind my steering wheel on a side street in mute awe of spectacle before me. Even after they finished shoving and headed to their assignment, the car reversed to where they were parked (so they apparently knew they were in the wrong?) I wish camera phones were a thing back then...

The last time I was in New York City was back in 2009, and my parents absolutely hated the traffic in Manhattan, because of nonsense stupidity like this 😭. We were so shocked to see people not pulling over for responding emergency personnel, and the idiots walking or running in front of the firetrucks🤦‍♂️. Where I live, the police or fire department will actually use their trucks to move people's vehicles in an emergency. It's more funny when they use their intercom speaker and call out drivers' idiocy 😅

Need to have some posts installed across from fire stations with winches mounted to move cars when needed. And once activated, parking enforcment is automatically dispatched and the vehicle is towed. That way the driver gets a ticket and has additional towing fees to pay for before getting their vehicle back.
