Must Try ! Bangkok Street Food and Night Market 🇹🇭

I visited Jodd Fairs DanNeramit Night Market and it was one of the craziest night markets I've been to.
I really had a great time and enjoyed a street food binge at this new Jodd Fairs Night Market in Bangkok, Thailand.
It was really quite crowded when I first arrived, but compared to the first Jodd Fairs night market I would say it was about the same.
Street food is a popular way to experience the culture and flavors of different countries, and Bangkok is no exception.
I began my street food adventure at Phrom Phong BTS station and caught the train to Ha Yaek Lat Phrao station, which is the closest station to the night market.
The first street food snack I tried for the first time was durian, from the durian queen stall. It only cost me 62 Baht which is around $1.79.
To be honest it wasn't really that good, I could only manage two bites before I had to stop.
I started my foodie adventure by trying some of the local meat skewers. For 3 beef skewers it cost only 36 Baht (just over $1.04).
The beef scewers had a very tender texture, like it was slow cooked and marinated for so long. Covered in a special salty and sweet sauce, they were very tasty.
I then discovered some larger meat skewers. I tired on chicken, pork and beef. They were much sweeter than the first stall, but still quite delicious and filling.
After that I managed to try some cheap sushi. I got salmon, eel, bacon, and a scallop one. Mixed with the soy sauce and wasabi they were delicious. The rice was super fresh.
The local Thai people were very friendly at this market. The girl who was selling the spicy mushrooms had really good English. The mushroom were pretty good too, Yum yum!
They were quite spicy so I had to quickly find an ice-cream seller to cool down my mouth.
I washed that down with an orange juice, and the vendor told me that they are made from four types of local orange all sourced from Thailand. It was super sweet but real tasty
The juice vendor made the drink with fresh oranges and told me that he didn't add any additional sugar at all, which is really impressive to say how sweet it was.
After I finished with my drink It was time for one more snack back at my hotel to finish off my trip to this crazy night market. It was a real fun time and great experience.

The Castle of Fairy Tales used to be the centerpiece of Magic Land amusement park back in the 80s and 90s. The park was closed in 2000, and most of the rides were transferred to Dream World amusement park north of Bangkok. Only the castle was left standing. It is amazing that it is still there 23 years after.

I'm Thai and I really like your video , it's funny and you are kind to the people , your lifestyle are different compare to most of tourist and its' very cool. I think you know Bangkok very well now. I recommend you to go south of Thailand like Phuket Krabi Surat or Samui if you like beach and sea. but if you like mountain and slow life I recommend you to go north like Chiang Mai , Chiang Rai or Kao Yai (Northeast). very welcome and hope you have a great memories here.

There are many varieties of citrus in Thailand. Some varieties have a lot of water in the pulp. and very sweet naturally even without sugar But some varieties have a very sour taste.

That castle was built around 1995-1997 where Thai's economy went down. The market area meant to be a amusement park with a landmark castle but amazingly the owner decided to save it until today.

Durian is the most value oriented item that you had. After 24hours, you will still have that taste lingering in your mouth and throat😅. Btw the mushroom stall is probably the best stop!

Jason another great night market tour and food crawl....as far as the spicy mushrooms Thais definitely have a higher degree of tolerance for spicy dishes. The last snack at your hotel was the best IMO...probably should not eat Durian before starting a street food safari...lol

You may need to eat Durian more than once to appreciate it. I don't remember if I liked it the first time I had it, but definitely the second or third time I liked it. Also, you need to eat it directly out of the shell. I recommend getting one that is unopened and use a knife to open it. It is okay to get from a stall, but ask them to open a new fruit. That being said, Durian is the king of all fruits, my favorite fruit, and I miss it. Can't wait to get back to SE Asia and have more.

I don't understand, durian smells and tastes amazing. I think it is largely psychological, with westerners calling it vomit fruit, saying it smells like rotting meat or onions etc. If someone asked me, I would describe it as more of a custard texture and flavor, very sweet with a slight hint of bitterness in some varieties. I also think it smells pretty good, I think people just are not used to strong smelling fruits in general, the only thing which annoys me is that the smell stays on your fingers. It's not called the king of fruit for nothing. haha
