Scream 4 acts as the perfect stepping stone for the franchise. Seeing the characters again after a decade, having the fame hunger motive which worked perfectly back then, looking forward. If scream 4 didn't exist S5 there would have been far to much time passed and as a scream fan it generally would've let S5 down big time for numerous reasons. Scream 4 needs more love 🎉. S5 was really good 👍

Not long after watching the first movie, i was about 12 and went to a cousins house. It was night time and one of my cousins went up to a window and pulled the curtain back. He said he was positive he heard and saw something moving outside. He called me to come to the window to look if i could see anything. At this point i was already getting scared ( this is South Africa) and as I reached the window and started to look out, another cousin of mine, dressed as Ghostface, popped up right in front of me! I almost had a heart attack! Never been so scared in my life! But even after that, I still became a fan of the movies.

Everyone hates on Scream 3 but I have to say it is one of my favorites. I would even rank it above Scream 2, Roman as the killer seemed more believable and had a better motive. Although Loomis' mother was a great motive twist, I HATE when they make the killer a petite female when the stunt doubles are clearly men. That is my only qualm with this franchise, but having a small framed ghost face would not only give away characteristics but also wouldn't be as scary, so I can over look it.

I don’t think people really hate scream 3. It’s just the least favorite in the franchise. The deaths were pretty boring and the fact that there was only 1 killer made it a bit of a lackluster. First one was the original second one was the mum of the originals son who tried to get revenge fourth one is 10 years after which is refreshing and then you have 3 with the least creative deaths and scenario. Again it’s not a bad movie it’s just the least liked one

My rating for scream series from best to worst: 1. Scream 2 (the first best for terrific chasing gale scene, car scene, cinema scene, bloody killing behind the glass scene, good killer choices) 2. Scream 3 (the second best for creative first scene, mystery and detective style, very good choice for killer, Roman's house scenes specially the Jennifer murder scene) 3. Scream 4 (my third choice for being the most brutal scream among all, very neat closet scene, very surprising killer) 4. Scream 1(my forth choice for being the classic scream movie, look behind you scene, good chasing scenes, logical choices for killers) 5. Scream 5 (the worst for having the most illogical scenes ever. Original characters sidelined, no character development for the new ones, NO creative scene, horrible choice for killer)
