This looks like a really good idea. Glad you told me about heaviness (although i should have thought that through cause its big) I am definitely going to try to make a couple of these for my deck come spring. We have a terrible time keeping our deck plants moist enough to deal with the heavy winds we get here and have to water several times a day because they dry out so quickly. Thing is even though they are really dry and need the moisture it almost reacts like an over watered plant and dies out far too soon. I have tried everything I can to be able to increase the moisture retention in the pots with no success but i think having the plant roots protected in a bag of earth like you have shown may work and definitely looks beautiful. Thankyou.e

Its realy very cost effective. With same idea your can make half sphere also. However proper symmetric buildup brings good aesthetic look. You can suggest suitable foliage plant too. Would be happy to get more such alternatives. Thank you.
