Mustafa takes an actin to save his father despite everything. However, Suleiman suspects that Mustafa has a finger in the assassination. Princess of Poland Anna comes to the palace. Piri Reis decides to attack on Hürrem. Someone important for Hürrem dies during the attack. Mustafa and Bayezid makes an agreement to govern together. Hürrem learns this and takes Selim's side. Suleiman suffers the illness in front of the whole army!
Everyone around Mustafa tries to convince him to walk towards the throne. However, Mustafa sets off to save his father. Mustafa barely makes it on time but Suleiman gets suspicious because Mustafa has known about the assassination.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

He was not smarter than the rest like his fans try to portray him as, he was just the least honorable one that was willing to do anything to become sultan. I dont see that as a valuable asset for a sultan to have, personality like that only causes more enemies to form. most of his descendants took losses after losses except for maybe murad but murad the third fought mostly against his muslim bros to the east which is just meh...for us muslims at least. my point is the level of invincibility that ottomans held in europe ended with suleyman and him choosing the drunkyard selim did not help the empire to rise back up to past prominence again.

Actually I watched the series when it first came out so I kind of forgot the details but I think there was a series of events where Mustafa went against the sultan's orders I forgot what it was but it built up to the sultan not trusting him anymore and I guess he heard that Mustafa had faithful followers as well so he started having doubts about his son preparing to dethrone him

The writers write so bad the fratricide law ( such a disapointing, it could be so tragic and memorable if they have done it well)...Sometimes they forget about that, other times he remembers it, it's very incoherent. The only scene that can be historically plausible is Hurrem who may have naively believed that she could have saved all her sons (which is not impossible for Selim if he comes to the throne he would have spared Cihangir as they all were the two very close historically and that his brother due to his condition his chances of overthrowing him were limited and even there it's not 100% sure because at that time it was seen as a sign of weakness Selim already had a lot of trouble with the jannisaries, however Bayezid is another story and vice versa ).). Seriously in this context ithe brothers were not even close in general and let us not forget that Mehmed II legalized the fratricide. The only one who could ironically be close to his half brother is Selim Yavuz to Korkut (he really tried to spare him even if he execute him but he regularly went to his grave and could remain silent for hours in front of grave , his death really devastated him) It was a very bad move to Suleiman and Hurrem to give birth to more one son together and breaking the rules one son one concubine. After that in this context to a point somes sehzades will die. I understand that they feared the mortality infant but even on that they should stop to Selim ... Nurbanu and Selim learned theirs mistakes by stopping to have childrens when Murad was borned. The fratricide law become more horrible to the people when Murad III had to kill his 5 brothers (children) even if he wanted to spare them he could not because Nurbanu and all his advisers told him that he had no choice but we told that he cried when he gave the order. It happened in Istanbul that's why it shocked the population. The pic was with Mehmed III and his 19 strangled half brothers although it is said that he was devastated and started pulling his beard according to legend. Following this the ulema tried to stop the fratricide but there were still executions of this style until Mehmed IV. All that to say that maybe the writers outside of matchism thought they were doing good measure by trying to make people believe that the law of fratricide was more tragic with brothers who almost all get along well but in reality that's the effect Conversely, personally I found Show Cihangir Mustafa and Bayezid silly and at times a bit stupid at will by being close to each other at some point i thought no wonder Selim won he's the only one with a brain among his brothers in this show . It would have been more tragic if precisely we present them as siblings who had not been close because of the fratricide and they explain that it is nothing personal but that they are trapped in this system and want just to survive just like in history (in addition it will be good in the show if we are given secondary objectives in the case of Mustafa restore the honor of his mother and in that of his sons to ensure that she is not stripped of her status, forced to go to the Old Palace to be forgotten by all and to be even more demonized than ever).
