Been listening to this on repeat. I am sorry about your Brother, Allah have mercy on him. My Brother passed away suddenly at the end of 2021. He was only 40 years old. This song reminds me of him, and of our childhood, in that it is sweet and haunting at the same time. It's a masterpiece. Just want to share that it does get easier, the grief. It's a pain that seemingly swallows you whole, but know you are still whole, and on top of that you carry your Brother with you everywhere.

Through this video paired with the music, I find that Mustafa highlights a soft look on a hard life. A sort of tender and delicate nostalgia.. a small tribute to home as he sees it, not as everybody else sees it. Mustafa is a true artist in the way his words resonate so deeply with so many people coming from multitudes of backgrounds.. absolutely love his work! ❤

The hood breeds in hate and struggle, a lot people will lose their hearts and minds, even their lives to it but once in a while, some people turn that hate and pain inwards, and turn it into love; the kind they express through song, poetry and other art forms.
