Below is the original review for our Mustang '65 song from the August 1997 Issue of Mustang Monthly Magazine (Page 13) which we originally recorded and released in 1996 on CozRush Records. Compact Disc titled "North To Bakersfield" by Cosgrove Rushing (AKA the Fabulous Purple Groundhogs).
REVIEW:
We have been hunting around for Mustang music for a lot of years, and
"Mustang Sally" is still the best known song about our favorite car. However, Cosgrove Rushing (AKA the Fabulous Purple Groundhogs) have a new country song about a 1965 Mustang that calls out for someone to fix it up. We have included the lyrics here and hope that if you like country music, you will pick up the cassette or the CD, entitled "North To Bakersfield", and take a listen - Mustang Monthly Magazine - August 1997.

And you would be correct. At the time we made the video, we weren't able to find a cherry red 1965 Mustang convertible. The song/video is more about the story/experience, than the actual car used in the video (1966). But thank you for commenting. We appreciate that.

It's just a song. We're not car guys. We were told it was a 1965. We didn't know the difference. We now know that. The song is more about the story than the year of the car used in the video.
