So for all the high life he was living in the expenses of spending the week out there that probably means his profit was somewhere around 5K after expenses. Yep, Richard should have known that if you do not put a reserve price on the car at auction, then the risk factor of taking a huge loss is always possible. I have seen an old man selling his dream car a original Shelby many years ago, with no reserve price and the final bid was almost &90000 less than what he thought he will get. He was so angry and told the auctioneers that they have scammed him and demanded his car back. Of course they said no and not even a good lawyer could convince the old man, that he took a huge risk and got far less than anticipated.

A 175!! Dream land!! 100 is stupid!! When will collectors stop with this nonsense? I’m a car and motorcycle guy.. have been restoring stuff for 5 decades!! The cost of parts and products to do this kind of work now is beyond belief! It’s all just stupid!!!
