They have data from the last few years + teams usually have to hand over their onboard data so they would see if teams run at full pace or not. Obviously that doesn't work all of the time but it's not as bad as it was in the past.

The Rolex 24 wouldn't be a good fit for the Mach E. In my opinion, Ford should field a Formula E or Extreme E team. They'd learn So Much!

It would be a waste of time. The EV market is dying fast. And with cobalt being banned for use in EV batteries its the final nail in the coffin. These new sodium based batteries will have a range of less than 100 miles in ideal conditions. Less than 50 miles in the real world. Plus the charging restrictions make EV essentially useless. Its a pretty hilarious end to EVs honestly.

These are al based on street cars with entirely different histories. On the other hand you can also consider it cheating that Ford arrives with a 5.0 engine they bored out to 5.4, which does not exist in any street car. Porsche runs a 4 liter flat 6. It's simply impossible to build one of those with the same power output as a 5.4L V8, or a 5.2 V10. Considering the Ford GT, you really think they were the only ones in that category having BoP applied? Plenty of other series to watch if you don't like BoP, like F1, F2, LMP2, ....

I feel the whole concept of BoP is ridiculous. It goes against the idea of racing. Retarding cars so that nobody has an advantage. I thought the idea of racing was to discover which car is faster, not just who has the best drivers.

It's a catch 22 as it then turns it into an arms race and budgets go out of proportion. Clearly the GT3 class has grown nicely with big manufacturers entering. Where it'll go sideways is when the ACO wants something because they're more "special". Need real alignment of specs, BoP across the entire GT3 global catagory.

@Trashman. The Garage 56 Camaro unlike the Mustang GT3 was an unsanctioned race car without having to deal with BOP. From what's been talked about and these videos from Ford Performance regarding the Mustang GT3's performance and the BOP adjustments to slow them down. We'll see how the Mustang GT3 and other factory teams from Chevy with their C8 GT3, Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, BMW, Lamborghini Huracan and Aston Martin. My money is on the Ford
