EXCELLENT WORK FORD!!!!!! I'm a long time pikes fan and remember when Rod Millen ran a 10 minute time in in a Toyota pickup truck. Because of this and his knowledge of the pikes peak, I would have begged him to drive for me. That said, clearly this guy knows what he is doing.

This is a perfect "function over form" car. The most polite word I can think of to describe they way it looks is...awkward, but it's a rocket. I am a long time Vette person and I am trying not to fall in love with electric cars but the truth is, my Vette wouldn't go that fast is I pushed it out of a helicopter. LOL

Electric is perfect for Pikes, no loss of power due to altitude and you only need enough battery for a 12.5 mile run.

Love to see these kinds of projects from Ford! Great job by all! If I could offer a suggestion/criticism of the video itself. I would have liked to have seen the whole run from several of the onboards somewhere in here. All the cuts and canned sounds kind of broke the feeling for me. Not taking anything away from the achievement, just my opinion on the video itself. 🙂👍🏁

Do you want to live in a world with electric performance cars, or no performance cars? Those are basically your options when it comes to the future. It a perfect world, the V8 sports cars would live on forever, but that's not gonna happen unless Ford comes up with a fuel cell hydrogen powered V8 or something. I'd rather have sporty EVs over no sporty cars at all.

Britain made Ford what it is today. The modern ford culture, design everything is British. The ford GT(GT40), Ford super van, Focus/Fista RS, ST and whole rally division is British. Also Mustang, Monde and Focus/Fista all borrow the design from Aston Martin. Only thing that's still American is the Pick-up trucks and we don't want nothing to do with that.

I can't help but think Ford is using these awesome EV demonstrators as a means to test the performance and durable of high powered EV systems that could end up in a production car. Imagine a new mustang, Ford gt, or rs200 revival with over 1,000 electric horsepower. That would be amazing.

Fantastic chassis with the best driver for the task. Now, depending on what Ford marketing is pushing, the chassis is fitted with a body mold of an SUV or Van or Pickup. Some body parts carryover from one mold to the other, like the wing.
