Kevin, that would be awesome if you do a “collab” with these guys!! Try email Turbo john if he doesn’t get back to you on here.

Kevin, I’ve watch you explain the why’s, and I’m sure you can help them sort it out. Some will offer advice on what they have experienced, but understanding the “why” it reacts one way or another will get them on the right path.

John, i’ll be honest. I don’t like it. With the rear so low like that and almost bottoming out and binding, you asking for trouble. When the suspension unloads, be it due to spin, or on the big end, the last thing you want it to do is bottom out/bind. When it does, its going to upsed that chasi and make very unpredictable. I know ya’ll don’t want to raise the front end of that car but i think its going to need it eventually. Try to find a way to mark the “suspect” areas with tape, or chaulk or zipties or something so you can easly tell if things are touching were they shouldnt. I’m pretty sure ya’ll checked (didn’t mentioned on the vid). Make sure the driveshaft angle is happy, and since you lowered it check to make sure there is clearance at the yoke/tailhousing. Good luck!!

213% is aggressive!!! Think the car will like the changes you made this time. Also, you should take Kevin Wilson up on his offer! Would make for some awesome content for both channels!

Agree your on the right track 213 neg anti Squad was way too much. if you need to, at the track lower the upper bars one hole down on the rear end that will put your anti Squad real close to 120% positive anti squat or just your lower shock brackets of one ot two whole and raise your ride height an inch 😉
@LocoFabandMachineworks2 жыл бұрын
I’d look at dropping front bottom bar down one hole, top housing side down to the bottom hole Will take more bite out of it

It happens. I've seen two identical Mopar a bodies, identical setups. One would hook in the mud and the other took an entire season to get worked out. Extremely demoralizing.

The greater the challenge the greater the reward. You'll figure it out and go fast, I'm sure.

Wow those percentages is off big time I think the changes you made should help it out a lot but there again I think your gonna have to add weight to the rear to get the percentages right.
@bartpang2 жыл бұрын
I think you need more front suspension travel. Also, what is the anti-squat at full extension?
@young119842 жыл бұрын
GAAHHHH, now thats what you call clearance🤣. That 160% 31”IC should keep it planted but imo the front brought up 3/4” will help some more too
@WeldonAutomotive Жыл бұрын
I’d like to see a video about this but with no prep, what percentage seems to work best, do you run a agressive bar angle then slow the rear shocks down or run less aggressive and loosen them up etc
@Blain57002 жыл бұрын
🤞🤞 it works, such a nice build.
@stevejones66472 жыл бұрын
Curious why the car even went to the track before plotting out the suspension? Car underwent a pretty substantial rebuild, moving weight and ride height around, both significant in respect to how a car gets down a track
@tommywilliams51352 жыл бұрын
Having front perctage that much on front 100 pounds in rear will bring it back to 58 perctage If it was my decision run instant center out in 40 range lowering the anti squat will give more weight transfer longer instant center will make big difference

So Ive been wanting to know this for a long time. When you guys say or any class says, "stock suspension" is that only referring to the control arm locations? Because the rear coil overs, are never in the stock location with mini tub cars but they are considered "stock suspension" I can never make sense of this

@walterpeterson92342 жыл бұрын
Hey I'm trying to understand why you think it needs to be so long in the rear, I'm afraid when you add a hundred pounds to the rear the housing will be touching the floor which will not work at all

Turbo John what you need to do is get big country Corey swanstrom up here and let him Tuned that car and get that car right for y'all and let y'all have at it he's the man to do it and have Randy out there whooping these boys and girls on the tracks
@theariesexperiment46422 жыл бұрын
Well John. I dont think anybody needs to get fired. I think you should solicit some help though. What you need to do is 1 of 2 things. #1. Pool your money together and hire Steve Petty for a day of test&tune at whatever venue he selects. Will it be expensive??? Possibly. #2. Find you a MUSTANG GURU who has won more small tire events with a MUSTANG and a similar combo than any other human who drag races. Poor Randy. I feel horrible for him. Get yourself some help John. Itll save you a ton of stress brother. And this suspension setup isnt gonna work either. Its gonna bind and upset the chassis and cause it to react sporadic and unpredictable. Looks cool,.......but won't function properly. Call it a hunch.
