1. Sloth is based on the concept of wasted potential instead of the typically associated laziness. 2. Mustang can change the design of the truck despite being a fire alchemist is because all state alchemists need to have a basic understanding of at least all the elements available in the periodic table at the time as well as some alloys. After that, they specialize in a particular combination of elements to hone their craft, such as an artillery or oxygen combustion 3. Al is not the one to physically take down Kimblee or Pride even with a Philosopher's Stone and it's genius writing. The audience never gets the satisfaction of seeing Al doing cool, badass things in this outfit with little to no effort because...well, this isn't his real body. It can never be the same. 4. Selim mentions inside the dome that once when a car was about to hit him, he could have easily protected himself due to being a homunculus. He scoffs at his mother who tried to protect him for having a foolish heart. Then he proceeds to get hit by a car and loses his grip on Alphonse and the others. No mother to protect him really does cost him something important. 5. Kimblee personifies a character trope that authors need to create when they are creating a morally driven story. He's like the Thorkell of the FMA universe. I hope you understand where I'm getting at. Characters who are beyond any moral compass, characters who challenge the author's viewpoint by being a constant obstacle in the path 6. Mustang is the strongest alchemist shown in the series. His power is never hidden (we see it during the Ishval flashback) but always undersold, and this episode is the reason why. For some reason, people like to say that FMA doesn't have that feeling of high buildup and reward but you get to see the strongest alchemist in action 43 episodes after his best friend is killed, all the while he's been undersold since episode 1 (particularly ep5 vs Scar). 7. The camera holding still on Envy's face when Scar and May reunite and his reaction tells a lot about his internal feelings explained in ep54. 8. Mustang's eyes changing is the highlight of this episode. Keep in mind, Lust called his eyes focused before she died. Those eyes are filled with the flame of revenge right now. On the contrary, Scar's eyes have become more prominent (no sunglasses) and also mellowed out more over time.

You know what really pisses me off, having to redo the same fucking comment because youtube for some reason deleted it even though it did nothing wrong. The catharsis of this interaction is wider than you can grasp, Angel. The fans of 03 and the original FMA never got this, Envy got away with Hughes murder and Mustang never got his revenge for his best friend, it was sort of forgotten at the end. And the level of love that Hughes has in the fandom is beyond belief, there's perfect reasons why he's still the best dad in all of Anime. And Hiromu Arakawa saw all this, saw how visceral the fans were for hating Envy and put this into it, think about how we anime only fans (at the time) had no clue what happened with Envy after the 03 series, and had to wait until 2009 to see this reaction, but she gave us what we needed rather than wanted. Its one of the many reasons this series is the GOAT'd.

Seems like KZbin's AI moderation is beginning to backfire on them immensely, cause I'm seeing so many people complaining about random bans after SUCCESSFUL appeals and more
