For any others with the slow wiper issue, it is very likely that it needs to have the spindles and pivot points in the linkage cleaned up and lubed. If it isn't, that same motor/assembly is used in a bunch of VWs, including the microbus, so finding a functioning replacement should be easy and cheap.

Wow, I have a 1980 924 turbo sitting in my garage that got put away @ 7 years ago. An aluminum fitting going into the oil pan got cracked by a pothole on LSD, (Lake Shore Drive). As long as I didn't completely fill the oil, say 3/4 full on dipstick, she ran fine. Watching you these past couple of weeks is inspiring me to get back under the hood on this and a couple of issues you have Thoroughly addressed. Thanks again, perhaps I will be messaging you in the near future! The Porsche ad when I got mine was, "At Porsche, nothing else even comes close."

Definitely get it back on the road! If you need some help, email me at autoanatomy@icloud.com and I'll be more than happy to help. If I'm up in your neck of the woods, would love to come see the car and help you get it running! Sean

Bittersweet. I found the channel while looking for 924 content to help with fixing up my 924S. It’s the most wholesome channel around, so I’ll be looking forward to your future endeavors. I’d love to see a driving review of what a 924 turbo in tip-top shape drives like before it goes to a new home.

Thank you Justin, sincerely. I'll be doing a full review including driving here shortly. I'd love to do another Porsche in the future, and if the right one comes up then maybe next! Sean

You could use basting tape and an iron for the top fold.. less messy and the fold will be more defined and sharp

Any sewing job the best glue to be use is Rubber Glue!It is much better than spray glue used here! When set up rubber glue is very easy to work with and sewing machine is working as it should.Glue used here will cause needle to get stuck -very messy finish.

A great series, very well done. I like your attitude towards problems, you just try it fix them methodically, no complaining :) , the car deserves a last "good by" drive video when its now finished and runs and looks nicely

Hey man! It‘s just so interesting and entertaining to watch your videos, you’re a cool person ! I‘m a young guy and got a 924 as well and now gonna restore a 944 that‘s been sitting on a junkyard for over 20 years. It will take years ’cause i‘m not that experienced as you for example but to see other people doing this stuff just keeps me motivated. Keep going your great stuff. Have a good one :)
