As one of 132k subs, speaking for myself I am very much ok with the way you handled the sponsored content thing. No interruptions just hey here's this at the up front and another by the way at the end. Totally cool. I've used Lava soap in my machine shop for 30 years Love it. 3 in 1 oil needs no fanfare....It plain works. And the smell always reminds me of My Grams house on sewing day. She would oil the tar out of a foot powered singer sewing machine and work all day. 3 in 1 is always at my reloading presses and does a great job. Glad these folks are helping you out since KZbin has abandoned their creators.

75% of the product we pay for in aerosol cans is wasted as overspray and bounce off. I like that 3 in 1 applicator.

AKA Wireguy I usually half squeeze it so only liquid comes out. It comes out as a liquid foam form
@planejet426 жыл бұрын
Looks like he wasted a lot too...
@stanpatterson50336 жыл бұрын
I agree with AKA Wireguy about how the aerosol versions of products come out with such force that it scatters everywhere. As for planejet42's comment, yeah, I agree, it LOOKS like some of the stuff Mustie was using was wasted, but either way, aerosol or squeeze-bottle, I guess the real secret or magic of the product is its' ability to spread and penetrate into the cracks and crevices where we can't get wire brush tines or other tools to help us overcome the friction and contaminants on the inclined planes of the fasteners we want to unscrew. I'd just as soon not be spraying away 99.9% of the fluid only for it to fall off on my work surface, but sometimes you gotta over-do it to help "push" more of the stuff into where you need it.
@johnpossum5566 жыл бұрын
3 in 1 oil is not about the applicator, it's supposed to be about the oil & its purpose. But I keep an old 3 in 1 can with straight non detergent 20 wt oil in it since when I worked at Amoco that's what the boss would recommend us selling to the customer. Straightweight 20W NON Detergent. You want to avoid waste buy it in a gallon and refill oil cans. I do. They even make refillable cans you recharge with your own air these days for under $20. For people who still want tthe squirt. I like the control of an oil can better. I have my father's -- surprise surprise. Since it is forever lubricate it never wears out!

At that light house they sell a little 3" lobster sandwich for $20 and a bowl of clam chowder that has so much milk in it thsts it's obviously "cut" to make it thin for $10.00. Whats funny is you can drive three miles down the street and buy an entire live lobster for $12 and a gallon of milk for $3.00 since thats all their chowder is. Plus they don't let you take that little trolley thing to go to the island. Really cool when you drive by, but then turns into a huge disappointment.

Hey Musti, been watching your video's for a few weeks. Very entertaining and have learned quite a bit. You sure know your stuff. One of the things that makes me chuckle, when you find something that is really bad, messed up, major damage to fix, you laugh a little, you don't panick, oh boy, didn't expect that, but, no prob., well' fix that, you seem to really enjoy the challenge of finding mayhem in these engines ravaged by rust and time. With that I tell you this....when I was 12yrs. old, 1965, my dad brought home from work, a 1958 Sears Allstate Moped "Deluxe". (Puch). It has the flared fenders, leg shields, "Wikop" stamped in the seat, original tubes and tires, still hold air. Dad bought it from a co worker whose son was failing in school. Bought it for $50.00 dollars. It has 1,200 miles on the od. I have the original owners manual, and, came with a replacement spark plug, with a protective plastic sleeve, both are in a secure place. Wish you were local to St. louis Mo. I would love to hear it run again. Don't know why it wouldn't, it has been in my basement, for the last 30 years, avg. temp year round, 74*, turn it over with the pedals ever now and then to keep the motor free. It is fire engine red, and I wipe it down and shines like a diamond in a goats ass. (Ozark down home say"n) Just wanted to tell you that. Jaguar, 64 any advise to start after all these years would be appreciated

Sponsors don't actually bring good content at all. They just encourage KZbin channels to shill and try to squeeze out as much money as possible, which has unfortunately happened to all sorts of channels. Those sorts of channels have different sponsors for every video, and try their best to drop the name of the sponsor before you get any indication to skip ahead. I really hope Mustie1 doesn't become one of those channels.

I really like your presentations. I grew up in my grandfathers garage and he would always tell me that "It's already broke so why not try and fix it - what can you loose". This was in the 60's and it has helped me through the years. By the way, he had Lava soap in the shop and at home for us to use. 3 In 1 oil is also a standard for oiling things up and I'm sure the penatrating oil is a good product as well. I'm now trying to get my grandkids to watch your channel so they are not afraid to take something apart and see how it ticks.

@siemenstraffic6 жыл бұрын
Hey Mustie. Don't forgot to disassemble and lube up the clutch on the Yerf Dog gocart. If it breaks, will chew up the belt and destroy the clutch!. Parts cost $ $ $! From the Yerf Dog Service manual. Centrifugal Clutch Lubrication The centrifugal clutch will provide many hours of use if maintained properly. Cleaning and lubrication is necessary for long life and trouble free operation. The clutch should be lubricated after every 2 hours of operation. Centrifugal clutch maintenance: a. Remove the drive unit cover. b. Clean all dust and dirt residue from all surfaces. c. Lubricate clutch with SAE 30 oil. This is accomplished by placing oil around the base of the clutch while turning the wheel to work the oil into the clutch bearing. d. Reassemble drive unit cover making sure it is securely in place.

InsideOfMyOwnMind - probably won't work. Get a plumbers pumice stone (it's a length of pumice with a handle attached) at your local hardware or plumbing supply house. Great to see that companies recognize your channel, congrats on the sponsorship. :) I can vouch for lava soap, been using it ever since my grandpa showed me it a few years back.

At the end of the video where you are washing your hands, you should have a bottle underneath, collecting the dirty water. You can sell it in smaller bottles aptly named: Mustie no.1 "I got dirty, so you didn't have too."

Love the sponsors. The two best days in life..the day you get a go-kart and the day you give it away.
