I'm Jamaican and it gets extremely annoying when people just completely gloss over the fact that Bob Marley was trying to get people to wake up and stand up for themselves. And also coming together to make changes and not be held down or lied to. He was getting people to realize if you stand together it's harder for the powers at be to destroy you. He died for a reason and you would have to be completely dense to think someone singing about peace and love alone would be the reason.

One day you'll realize that what you're describing and this "oneness" are literally one and the same... pitiful you really have to go our of your way to be upset at something like this. They are one and the same. When we realize this oneness, we immediately stand together as one. Stop with this foolishness and be quiet. Listen to your heart. You will understand if you stop trying so hard to be right.

FINALLY!! Muta you are the only man who mentions Planno. I am from Trench Town back in the 50's. "One Love One Heart is not an original lyric of Bob Marley, it was how Rastas greeted each other, and Bob put it in a song. I lived next-door to Planno, (breddah Cummi we called him). He tutored all of us, including Bob, about the superiority of Africans, at home and abroad. Planno brought H.I.M to Jamaica and even taught us the Amharic language. I could go on and on, too much to write in a text here. Bless

I speak from 62 years on this planet and a firm life long follower of all the Wailers as well as Bob from when him at Beverley Records. One love? Please read between the lines and get the gist of Bob’s feelings… The man was a genius and lyrics flowed when he put his mind to it. He who feels it knows it, live the life you love, love the life you live. Metaphors was Bob’s biggest literacy recipe. Fi Real 🇯🇲 🙏🏽

Yes, I almost feel sick when I see the hype surrounding this unrealistic & cheesy Hollywood creation. Like (almost) all biopics from them, it is totally superficial. The critical intention hardly plays a role. You certainly can NOT call this work 'Bob Marleys life story'! A small excerpt from around 3 to 4 years in the 1970s, nothing more... Of course everything was very "beautifully colored", as was to be expected with a Hollywood product & the involvement of family members. 🧐 Because of this unreality & superficiality, the movie has rather negative reviews from the (reputable) places here in Germany. My favorite songs are: Africa Unite! Buffalo Soldier Positive Vibration So much trouble in the world .. etc dem all timeless & unfortunately still realistic nowadays ... 🌻✌🏻😎

Rasta is a behavior as known as livity. Non partakers of certain things. We made stride in various ways , scientists, lawyers Doctors media personnel , National security ministers, parliamentarian . To say no strides had been made is a unique thought. South Africa alone has about 3milliom plus St Croix has or had Rasta in Parliamenis Trinidad has a National security Minister 12 Tribes another in Africa ran for President if not mistaken in Gambia stand to be corrected his name is Banki. “Softening the movement and potency”. I was nervous to go watch this One Love film for this exact reasoning. Especially in the States, the system LIVES and THRIVES off of softening Black men, Black women, Black people, and Black movement. The music made clear to me what the message was and I watched how people in this country minimized Bob to ganja and a “hippy” kind of love. It’s a tactic used and it’s frustrating. I fully agree and am thankful for Muta clearing it up. 🤎

that's the one problem with his biggest selling album, Legend. It is Bob Marley lite. Omits the militant, socially conscious songs, except for one
