Sadly there are no big contemporary punk bands, in the west or Japan, for bands like this and some of the other great punky bands to piggyback on the success of as a gateway band. It's not so much that people don't/wouldn't like it, as they just don't know they exist. The metal bands have it slightly easier because there is still a reasonable-sized metal scene.

It's a fantastic song, pure Mutant Monster. Singing is awesome, with good clear vocals by both Meana and Be. I wish they would release some lyrics in English. The video is excellent too, I'm really glad they've stepped up the production values ever since 'Abnormal'. Before that the videos seemed amateurish. The last two have been really good. The clear lighting made me realize they are all quite beautiful, I never really knew that... not that it matters so much as the music is amazing. I'm not crazy about the new short hair look and summer dresses but hey, it's hot in Japan. It's a cute look, I'm sure it will grow on me... I'm definitely looking forward to buying the album.

To be fair, the amateur vibes from their older music videos is precisely because they were amateur videos. As in, they did it all themselves. It's definitely nice to see them be able to shoot professional videos, though! I hope we get some better sound and video quality live stuff, as well. It would be lovely!

That's the problem, the people in the US are rarely open to new music...they're fine with the same ole boring ass shit that the corporate radio and record companies put out. I've tried to garner interest...I worked in the retail music industry for 15 years... I hand sold DEG, BabyMetal, X, Hi-Standard and AKG. Part of the problem is that availability of the music to be sold in the US. And the biggest part? "They don't sing in English, why would I listen to them?" People are too narrow minded in the US, ergo why I don't listen to American music anymore...it's boring, it's stale and it's dead. I honestly don't even try anymore... 15 years of negativity from others...a big fuck you to them. I went to Lunatic Fest by myself... I'l go again in 2021. I'll go to any show I can get to (with reason) Its' seriously not worth the effort anymore.

Denise Mobers Well, England and Europe have a long history with music and the skill and craftsmanship of music, so naturally we appreciate brilliant music (still not the majority of people, but a lot). And also, England is quite a culture ground for rock and punk, so Japanese bands also like to come here.

I dont' think it's that so much as the size of the US, the lack of knowledge about the music and the trepidation in which managers and PR/Record companies in the sales of tickets. The bands that HAVE come here have done well...but they are far and few between. The US has a long history of music as well, that's not a UK/Europe skill set at all. I've been going to concerts for over 40 years, I've seen everyone from Kiss to Peter and The Test Tube Babies. I've seen the skill of someone like Olga from the Toy Dolls, and I've seen the skill set of someone like Ricky Skaggs. Musical skill is not a national issue. It's money, flat out. UK is small, tiny compared to the US. Europe has the same feel. Japanese bands like Dir En Grey, play at large festivals and some small venues. They know they will get paid at the end of the night. But have someone like Dir En Grey come to Denver (Where I am), will most likely never happen. The only reason BabyMetal played here in 2014 was because of Lady Gaga. Look at the spectacular fail of X Japan playing at Coachella... that was an asinine move... there were less than 4000ppl watching... that was not the right venue nor event for that band. So I wouldn't say that the UK or Europe has anything over the US or any other country, as far as musical skills. Seriously, the UK gave us the Sex Pistols... need I say more about skills? We gave the world the Ramones, but we also gave them someone like Stevie Ray Vaughn.

This time I really hope they can break through it used to really depress me to see the small number of hits on their MM film clips compared to the hits they got as Rick Rack when they were a lot younger. They have talent and mostly good songs and here in Australia anyway absolutely no one has ever heard of them it's such a shame, they could be another band maid or baby metal. It would probably make a difference if all the song titles had an English language name as well as the Japanese name

Rick Rack is a different band... The bassist left, I think the drummer too. The new group is 'Fern Planet'. They haven't put out much and the material changed. Don't know what happened, Serina had a lot of promise.
