Muti Child Sacrifice Found in the Thames: Investigating Occult Murders | True Crime Documentary

London, 21 September 2001. In the murky waters of the Thames, a passer-by discovers the lifeless body of a 5-year old African child. Its the arms, legs and head have been removed. For Scotland Yard, this discovery sparked the most intensive and most unusual murder investigation ever conducted. Information from a unique police unit, specialising in occult crimes, lead investigators to deduce that the boy had been sacrificed in a ritual murder of a type which, up to this, had been practised predominantly in southern Africa. These mysterious “muti” murders are an extreme form of occult belief: the body parts or blood of a killed person are ingested as a “muti medicine”, in order to grant another person health, power, wealth or strength. We follow Scotland Yard’s investigation and investigate the links between the historical, religious and criminological backgrounds to ritual murder.

that poor mother.... losing a child is awful enough but to have to watch the death and dismemberment.... idk how she's even sane anymore....I'm also incredibly impressed by this investigation. the amount of knowledge they sought and listening to the people of all beliefs respectfully without judgement to understand why this occurs... it's the best way to gain an understanding of these crimes

this must have been the founding facts behind the Silent Witness episode on imported ethnic ritual killings in London. One of the episodes that, in that time of cluelessness about the reality of eRthAniCciEty, I thought absolutely fantastical. I now know better. Culture matters and culture is absolutely tied to eRthAniCciEty. The polar bear can be taken out of the arctic but the arctic cannot be taken out of the polar bear...hence why zoos try their best to create arctic environments; similarly and purely zoologically speaking, the ape can be taken out of the jungle but the jungle cannot be taken out of the ape.

How is colonisation not to be blamed? The western colonised these countries, used them as slaves for their personal gain, took advantage of the oil and goods found on these lands and made the country poor. Do you not know what colonisation is? Africa is placed in a very good place on the world and the western took advantage, used them to gain power. Also I can just tell you are racist because you say it’s purely an african problem when this witchcraft doesn’t only happen in african guess what it happens in Asia too and I assure you the UK has colonised Asia too it is a pattern with these developing countries. Some of the slaves Britain had stayed in Britain and slowly more and more immigrant came to Britain for a good life because the British fucked up their own country.

I believe that education, diet, and health have a good deal to do with IQ. your brain will not develop properly or maintain itself without a proper diet and healthy living conditions. we because sentient when we expanded to an omnivorous diet. Also, if you have ever taken an IQ test, you will know that its based off what you know. math, reading, science etc. plus the more dangerous, unknown, or uncertain a world is, the more ppl will rely on religion or ritual to determine their fate.
