I am just getting into Parsi cuisine. A lovely tasty looking cutlet! Can I say that I would make them somewhat smaller and serve them as a starter?

Dear Kayzad, never heard of prawn cutlet with mashed potatoes. We always make it with ground green chillies, garlic, some curry leaves, and red onions roughly ground in a pestel along with the rest of the ingredients, and yes prawns too. The ground mixture will be a bit liquidy, but right away make balls roll in rawa and fry. This is how we've been eating our prawn cutlet from childhood.

Can we boil the mince?
@sanjeevkapoorkhazana2 жыл бұрын
There is no need to boil it, otherwise it may be tricky to form that cutlet shape.

Mutton mince is already boiled or not pls reply sir.
@angeloflight93984 жыл бұрын
No, not boiled. That's why he kept the pan covered to allow the meat to cook. But you can deep fry these cutlets also.

Coating with egg ... is not a great idea ... otherwise it is excellent
@angeloflight93984 жыл бұрын
You can add the egg first into the meat and potato mixture. Egg helps in binding the cutlets nicely so that they don't crack open while cooking.
