MUTYA NG PILIPINAS TO HOST MISS TOURISM INTERNATIONAL 2025
Inspired by the resounding victory of Yana Barrido at the 27th Miss Tourism International competition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the Philippines will host the 28th Miss Tourism International (MTI) pageant in November 2025.
This historic first for the country was officially announced by MTI President and Owner Tan Sri Datuk Danny Ooi and Mr. Fred Yuson, Chairman of Mutya Ng Pilipinas (MNP) in the presence of Ms. Cory Quirino, President of MNP in a press conference at the CWC Design Center.
It is well known that MTI established in 1994 is the longest-running and most-recognized tourism pageant in the world.
Tan Sri Danny on his part expressed his excitement over the staging of the competition in Davao City upon the invitation of Mr. Fred Yuson.
Davao City was chosen as the venue due to the ongoing development of the 30-hectare Davao Global Township, the latest, most progressive business center in Davao City, a joint venture of Yuson Holdings and Cebu Land Masters. In addition, the 5-hectare Paragon project houses the 300-room Ascott Citadines with its 5,000-seater ballroom.
MTI 2025 is expected to attract 45-50 delegates from across the world, showcasing the Tourism and Cultural Heritages of the hosting country, Philippines, to their fans and followers in their respective home countries, with the theme of “Promoting Tourism, Culture and Friendship.”
It is the intention of both MTI and MNP to contribute to the governments Love the Philippines efforts in promoting and boosting tourism through its dynamic tagline “Bringing the World to Philippines”.
