I picked up the black panzer for silver in a Black Market event. No one would call it strong but I’ve come to appreciate it when you respect its play style. I play it with my Lepord crews, so they get lots of experience. Love the index page, thanks!

Do you really enjoy playing it mate? I had nightmare playing Indien Pz and stock Leo PTA because of this gun... but It is the only Tier 8 premium for crew training :(

@@khangphan6764 I love the black panzer it's one of my favorite tank in the game, if you play the leopard I line it's the same gameplay, accurate sniper medium that works very well

This Mutz is the clone of japanese STA tanks. And the same roller coaster to play. Your performance totally depends on your teammates.

About depending on teammates: there are only 2 ways in which you do not depend on teammates 1. you play in a broken tank like Pz IIJ in a lucky matchmaking where no one can hurt you but your ammo is sufficent to kill them all ... maybe you need a ramming kill once too 2. you get messed up in matchmaking with the op tanks and the better players all in red team.... depending on team then is useless, no hopes to win sorry to say option 2 is far more common as the Pz IIJ sometimes meet a Valentine willing to shot gold.......

I was considering getting it as my first premium, since I loved it in the Sandbox, but I'm glad I took the Patriot like many CCs recommend for new players. Now that I'm better medium player I'd like to get it sometime (though maybe not with bonds).

The Panzer 58 Mutz used to be my favourite medium tank when it first came into the game around 2015. I remember there was a mission marathon where I can rent the tank for 2 or 4 weeks (don't remember the exact details). Then I stopped playing the game entirely by 2016. Fast forward when I returned to WoT in 2020, I hardly see this tank on the battlefield anymore. Then in last year's Black Market (or a similar event), I rolled the dice and the best tank I got was the SchwarzPanzer 58 instead of the Type 59G. I bought it and I instantly regretted it. As a sniper tank, here are the problem with this Panzer 58 in today's meta: 1) Poor view range with fully skilled crews (+ Improved Vents) for a sniper tank (about 430m only). You needs either Coated Optics or Chocolate to bring it across 445m. 2) Poor camouflage values. 3) Mediocre mobility never mind the armour. Look this tank badly needs a buff. The STA-2 was buffed last year, I don't know why the Panzer 58 was left out. Even the Super Pershing, T-54 mod.1 and Type 59 was buffed throughout its existence in WoT. And we don't even need to talk about autoloading addiction nowadays.

Got Schwarzpanzer 58 from Black Market some years ago and it might be average but I love it.

Yes I am a player too :P Edit: I am missing 124 tanks and my collection will be 100% complete. These are the tanks that I can STILL get! of course there are others which are very rare that I can never get due to wargaming's stupid rules...

Calling this a sniper is kinda silly, doesn't have alfa, doesn't have dpm, doesn't have pen, doesn't have acc, doesn't have aim time. There are many tanks that outclass this tank in every single aspect, it's just a bad tank which nobody drives if they have a better option.

@@pablopabulo You are aware that in the end that's exactly same thing right? Virtually all new prems mediums will dunk on this thing. Many have higher dpm, higher alfa, higher burst, higher armor, better mobility, etc. How do you think a tank get's to be called bad? Because it's worse then it's peers by a lot. This thing doesn't deserve to be called mediocre or average, it's straight up bad. And guess what everybody knows it. It's the 20th most played tier 8 medium for a reason. It's a bit above the play rate of tanks like the STA-2 and CDC. And those are bad tanks. All three are totally outclassed and outgunned. Don't get me wrong, I have a mutz and I've played 700 games with 57% WR in it, it's just not good anymore. The much higher burst and alfa guns of newer premium are the death knell of this tank.

Panzer "Schmutz" actually refers to "dirt" or "trash" but the true meaning most likely is that the tank is a bad performer xd or it is bad for the enemy because it is actaully good.. both are possible.

In German "Schnitzel" means carving, & in Bavaria "Mutz" is the word for bear, hence the bear on the turret. (Bar, daher der Bar auf dem Turm). Thank you, Danke.

As top tier tank. I really think you should have been able to push the area where P45bis went to get rid of Leo before Comet and Guard went. Nashorn and maybe the T34/100 may have went with you so they don't really have to die in the open like that in the instant. Bis was surviving pretty well til it got ganged up. Every game I see top tier tanks pushing a flank the low tier players get a boost in moral and rush in with them. The same situation basically happen when Guard went in. Their lights rushed in. You may have been able to take advantage of killing leo first with dpm and gang up on comet before Guard went in with every team help using them as shield.

I like mutz but reason I don't play it is because it is sniper tank that can't really snipe. Its gun handling is so RNG that you have to get closer to make it reliable which removes to whole point of if its role and reason to play the tank. I would watch my fully aimed shots miss whole tank many times in the row, it is just sad. Gun handling buff is something all t8 sniping tanks need because they feel more like t44 and less like leo pt.

this game is getting increasing reliant on gold ammo. Wargaming needs to stop with this tactic of hull down meta, op premium tanks, and solution being gold spam. Eventually people started using gold even for paper tanks because they’re too lazy to press the 1 key 😅

I keep saying, cap gold at 20%, so you have to save it for a situation that calls for it, instead of sealing clubbing in an OP premium tier 8 with full gold against tech tree tier sixes, for example. Happens all the time. It’s BS.

M'y favourite perimum tank is the Lowe with 80 ammo count. 20% will still give me 16 premium rounds, enough for thé whole game while other tanks will only have 6.

@@tajbashir166 Advice to yourself doesn't require mentions at other users. The mutz has good concealment, gun depression, a reliable 8.8 with good pen/accuracy, and decent view range. If you can't succeed in it, thats on you not the tank.

@@tajbashir166 I would strongly disagree. Look at what the changes did to the e50. They actually made it weaker overall because of the substantial lose of dpm. Also you're comparing an ebr to a sniper meduim? Why, what does that prove? Nothing. Then the bourasque isn't even close to the same roll of a mutz. Its a burst damage drive by tank. It damn sure cant provide substantial sniper support from a ridgeline like a mutz can. Neither of those two are better than the other. Both are excellent tanks in their respective rolls. A better comparison would be those french Sherman premuims. Well they only provide a hard hitting gun and thats at the price of a nearly 50% dpm decrease. Although the good alpha can provide with much better critical hits such as engines fires or ammo racks. Mutz is better in every other respect, save for the okayish armor on those shermans.
