It's its own sort of heartwarming for me, a decade out of experiencing the life-altering 9 day (and 4 night - I slept every other night and basically just read in 25-30 hour chunks) binge that was reading Muv Luv, to see so many people in the comments, from years ago to barely a month ago, talking about their own emotional reactions. I've never really discussed Muv Luv with other people, even my best friend or girlfriend - it was something personal and I prefer to leave it untouched for all the beautiful and horrible memories alike. Just reminisce once in a while. But reading the comments on these songs gives me just some little sense of connection to my fellow man. I hope you're all living your best life.

I couldn’t handle this scene man, I was bawling like a baby. I’ve always loved Meiya and witnessing this crushed me. I’d sporadically cry days after reading the ending I couldn’t even think about her without tearing up even in public. The depression from this game was crippling

This moment had it all, really. I remember staying awake a LOOOOOONG time after the ending just taking everything in, and even now months after finishing it all it still occupies my mind a lot. From all the sacrifices leading to the core room, to everything going downhill so fast, to Sumika being forced to 'remember' her trauma (and in a way Kasumi too), to the bone chilling 'conversation' with the superordinate, to Meiya's last stand and valiant effort, to Takeru doing his best to reassure Sumika of the things he'd do after he "died" again, unknown to the fact it wouldn't be possible anymore and her massive guilt because she knew, to the massive display of devotion from Meiya, to her ultimate sacrifice, and everyone going beyond with their resolve. The crushing truth that came after that too, it was simply SO MUCH to take in, if the game didn't end on a 'happy' note I probably would've punched the screen real hard 🥲

Me too, probably the most any vn has hurt me, with the climax of fata morgan a close second. I even didn’t like muv luv and wasn’t sure why I kept reading it and this scene made the entire series worth it to me. Like the final jigsaw coming into place

Muvluv is weird.... most of the main characters are not my type, the side characters are awesome - but meiya is something else. Even a decade after reading the story she and the muvluv trilogy hold a special place in my heart

@Jean Yeah, if there's one VN they need to properly adapt, it's this one. Seriously, this story deserves AT LEAST 100 episodes. I know they said it'd take longer to adapt the full story, and I know it's likely they won't give it any more than 30... but a man can dream dammit!

@@youngkappakhan I hear ya. Apparently it's gonna be a new protagonist. Which kind of rubs me the wrong way. Takeru IS Muv Luv. But ... we'll see. I saw some stills of Yuuko .. who appeared to be in a straight-jacket. This ... will be interesting.

@@youngkappakhan Addendum: I kinda had it in my headcanon that Takeru was eternally stuck in a time loop until he could defeat the BETA. He saw the beginning and the end of the universe more times than he could count. My idea for a sequel was this Takeru finally reaching the set of causal circumstances that would allow him to destroy the BETA once and for all.

@@mr.battle20 honestly i feel that wiping the BETA would be imposible, they already are resource slaves to a incredibly superior race, a race that by the very point BETA reached the milky way, have already conquered a good chunk of the universe considering how "young" our galaxy is compared to the rest, it's a safe bet to say that they plan to wipe the BETA from our solar system, and that would be it.

I hope I live to see the day Resonative gets released… TDA imo is as good as alternative and the fact that it takes place in the unlimited time line gives me hope of more meiya focus.
