Talking about Muzammil's question in Training Your Talent 49:00, I graduated few months back as a Software Engineer from tier 3 university and right now Alhumdulillah I have a USD pegged income and working from Karachi, Pakistan for a singaporean company. I second Mr Laeeq point that there need to be industry experts who should be teaching students, I tackled this by participating in different technical communities and globalizing my self by using linkedin or social media platforms and networking to likeminded software engineers, It's just we have lack of awareness in Pakistan, Otherwise we are the most intellectual and hardworking people out there who can rock the IT service industry.

In my journey to become a software engineer w/o a degree, not having a Pakistani mentor was indeed something I missed. Although there is KZbin and you can learn just about anything, knowing "what" you need to learn is a big thing. Having a mentor who is actively working in the field can guide so much better about current tech stacks etc than a professor who is just teaching the same thing for the past few years.

I have graduated in English Literature and Linguistics; I have a keen interest in ML and want to shift my career to ML engineering.
