In the manga there is an extra chapter that shows an teenage Sayo full of regret. She said 'that man killed them' as in 'the monster' but because the body disappeared she had a difficult time explaining it to all the adults who had already jumped to conclusions. She got drowned out. She regrets him being imprisoned and wishes she could meet and apologize to him. I think also in a different side chapter, it shows that the three kids who left at the end were running for help, not to abandon them.

Fog around Muzan was because of the number of wisteria trees around Ubuyashiki's mansion which burned him and he recovered instantly . it burned him again and he recovered . it was a cycle

I can say there are 2 reasons why Gyomei cries (my own thoughts, feel free to add) 1. He watches the new demon slayers who are all children to him, who remind him of how children are in nature, and he cries for them. 2. He cries because he doesn't like to hurt living beings or hitting a living flesh, even if its demons, but has to do it anyway since he's the strongest and is responsible for protecting everyone.

In a “between chapter” bit that is official but was never part of the main story, the author clarifies that Sayo was trying to call the demon “that man who killed everyone.” She was never accusing Gyomei, but because of her age, the terror of the experience, and the demon’s body burning away, she couldn’t explain properly and both the arresting officials and Gyomei thought she was accusing him. She lives with immense regret and hopes to apologize to him some day.

The meaning of the scene where Muzan walks in the mist is a lesson regarding oni in Japanese history where oni comes from the word onki which means to hide or not be seen and since Muzan is an original oni, he unleashes his skill of walking from darkness into the fog and then into reality (visible)...in the lesson about oni, they come from the native inhabitants of hell and some of them infiltrate the human world and then eat and spread disease to humans... Oyakata sama is a leader with a weak body and abilities due to his illness, but he has special skills as a leader, namely being able to predict the future, smart/wise and his speech and attitude like the Buddha...so intelligent that Muzan sama was hooked into his war strategy, It's like saying directly to muzan sama that if you are so very strong, "come here and I'll wait here alone"... My apologies for my bad english...

Muichiro is still my favorite hashira I think but after this ep it’s tough. Gyomei’s backstory is brutal but it just proves that almost everyone in the corps is unified by tragedy and it’s heartbreaking. But the voice work, sound and animation of him being angry and brutally beating a demon to death because he’s fighting for what he has left makes me cry on top of the fact that I found out he was only 17 at the time. An actual kid who took the responsibility of taking care of other kids makes me cry harder 😭

I think Gyomei cries as a means of training his Repetitive Action technique, which channels the emotions brought up by his tragic past to make him even stronger. I've also heard that Gyomei is based off Avalokiteśvara who was a Bodhisattva whose empathy for the suffering of the world caused her to cry. Which makes sense.

2nd movie: with zenitsu confronting um6, trying to kill um4,um2 full fight , discovering um1(this could be added in the first movie at the end) they would show the half battle of it till gyomei shows up maybe...in Ep it would probably take 1 ep for zenitsu,1 ep for um4 ,3 ep for um2 +1 backstory,4 eps of um1=10 eps ..and yeahh some scenes of yhshiro could be added..3rd movie: all finding their way out of castle,some continuation of regular demon slayers killing demons(extra),um1 full battle, yorichis story and um1 backstory mix, muzan apperance and tanjiro and giyu confronts him. Probably get a another 10 eps banger...then sunrise arc will get a another 10-12 ep with extended final fight ...let me know if it helped understanding a little better
