Ciao, and thank you for this sympathic Interview, i had the 12' CD in wolfsburg in germany in 1988, i was 19 and loved this.. in these times i was listening in Oldskool Italo-Disco, you know, not this romantic style, more the first Songs.. so now i'm 55 and doing some oldskool Italo-Disco Mixes, which can be heard at soundcloud.. New Beat from Belgium for me personally is something like European Techno, well, i like to share your Video at Telegram and at Tribel, so many greetings from brunswick in germany and please stay safe 🙃

You did it again Twan! Nice job. I understand you have a lot of requests, and I know some of my favourites are already on your list. I’m really glad about that. I don’t know if this artist had a big enough hit, but he definitely caught my attention back in the days: Michel Pollen. ‘Ibiza dreams’ and ‘Heal my world’ have enjoyed modest fame. More recently he produced hardstyle (not my taste really). An interview with him would be great. Anyway, keep the good work going!

Twan, Apotheosis - O Fortuna had the same effect of making the club go wild(Club X, Detroit). It was also one of the first tracks to use sampling and was deemed illegal use by the descendants of Carl Orff. Would appreciate something about it. I was ecstatic when you interviewed BT! kzbin.info/www/bejne/j33OaXSDg6iiaJY "I represented the label years back, when attorneys at White & Case, which represented the Orff Estate, came after my client for copyright infringement. Over fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies provided by the law firm, we had a friendly discussion. Counsel for the Orff Estate related how the Estate was unhappy and thought this put the work in a bad light. I suggested that the obviously "profane" work and Orff's less than stellar behavior during the Nazi era would be interesting to a jury. (Actually, Orff's behavior was declared "acceptable" during De-Nazification.) After that, my client pulled the record from distribution. And here it is, glad everyone can hear it, even though the original is much better!"
@muzikxpress5 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris, I was a big fan of that track! I managed to buy the CD maxi single before they had to take it out of the stores because of the illlegal use of the Orff music. So it is on my wish list and I hope I will be able to get this done somewhere in the near future, fingers crossed ;-) Cheers, Twan
