Of course everyone says he should have taken the shot because it was a nice buck. Now if it was a doe or a little buck of course it would only be ethical to wait for a better shot. Unfortunately it doesn’t go both ways. The hunter made the right decision probably a 50/50 chance he kills it and that’s not good enough. Better to let it live another day and give someone else a chance to harvest it than have a bad hit wound it.

From the finger lakes area in NY. Cool to see guys out being successful doing drives. We try to get a group together a couple times a year and push state land and some private. One of the most fun ways to get it done with friends

I'm thinking that those little branches would have done little or nothing to a .50 Cal bullet at that range. Good call on him not to shoot if he wasn't comfortable with it though. I woulda sent one, for sure.

I was thinking the same thing ,just to kill something to put it in a video is not cool, and you always hear meat in the freezer, if you can afford a video cameras you can afford to buy meat you don't have to kill every deer you see, leave them for the kids or your 90 year old grandmother.
