Looking back at this episode, seeing how we compared that kind of power to fully fledged super bikes and now in 2020 MV Agusta makes a 200+ HP super naked. times really do change and the pursuit of power never stops. 158 hp heck 130hp is more than enough for a naked bike, these new 200 and up bikes are bonkers and lesser riders will find themselves in trouble faster than they can twist the throttle.

The 2005 MVAgusta F4 Brutale has finally been made reliable. I made the importer go for a long ride. He was instructed to ride for 100 kilometres and at about 65 kilometres the motorcycle stopped. The diagnosis? I was correct all the time. The alternator could not handle the revs at 110 km/h and it overheated. It cost $2880.00 to repair. It is now reliable. Why did they not rectify the problem when it was under warranty?

Ditch the headlight and I agree with Matt. The bike looks awesome, but with the light in its current configuration, it looks like the engineers were about to wheel it out of the factory and someone said. "Oi, fellas, we forgot a head light." So they just grabbed the first one they could find...

It is really a shot in the foot having reduced torque by 16% to gain 10% power through higher revs. That would maybe make sense for a super sport racing bike , for sure not for a roadster , specially naked. Where apart from autobahn in Germany one will ride at 250+ km/h and for how long ?

Fil R I have found the Triumph Street Triple and the Triumph Speed Triple much more reliable and in 2020 just as good in performance.

I know a couple people with Brutale 800’s and they’ve been reliable but it is hard to get parts for MV here in America. The Street Triple is a great bike but doesn’t have the styling of an Italian.

Don't like the single sided rear wheel. On one side it's too busy with the sprocket, chain and brake and on the other side, the focus point in the middle is a ... nut.

The MV Agusta is a great motorcycle. It sad that the factory, the importers and the dealers are so unreliable. This is why the MV Agusta is so unreliable as a ride. The factory had better get its act together because today is 2020 and all the other factories have caught up to them. I predict that due to their poor customer service, the cost and their unreliability the factory will eventually shut down. I say good riddance. Since 2005 I have had nothing but griff and costs because the factory does not honour the warrantee and the importers and dealers do not know how to service them and keep them on the road.

Maybe, that's why I find them pretty cheap. I already own a BMW S1000R, but still lust after one of these. Hmmm.

Matt R C You're probably offended because you're 12 years old, wearing military Pants, and think you're not a little kid anymore. Grow up.
@IgnitionBikeShow10 жыл бұрын
Oh my, how easily offended you are, and by a supposed fashion faux pas too! The pants are Draggin' jeans, and come stuffed full of protective kevlar, so they serve a function. They're my only riding pants with a military theme, but sometimes they do still see the light of day. Dressing like a grown man involves what exactly? Any fashion tips? Do you have a list of what is and isn't acceptable? And thanks for the positive comment, but without being rude your life must be desperately empty to find the time to make comments about the trouser style being worn by a journalist in an obscure You Tube vid about motorcycles. Just saying.
@Schleberger10 жыл бұрын
The Bike Show I guessed they're protective. But wow, you seem to be really offended about my comment, definitely not what i intended, i'm sorry. Here in switzerland we really just look at it as inappropriate, but you seem to have a different viewpoint on that matter, so whatever floats you're boat. Altough i'm still thinking military pants are a huge NO if you're over 12.
