It's nice to watch reviews by an enthusiast rather than someone trying to promote themselves or a product for financial gain. Great work - keep them coming.

When we first clicked on this video we were very skeptical(lol old guy on an mv) . But this is hands doen THE BEST review of this bike on youtube. Where others fumble about the “nice colour’ and how ‘so good’ it is, this is an actual review. Stats, thoughts and opinions and no nonsense. Good lighting,high quality camera en no background noise. Well done sir

Hey mate, thanks for the review, I love this bike, its one of the best looking bikes I can say i've ever seen. my question is, at 6'3" 100kg, is this bike too small for me?
@MikesMachines6 жыл бұрын
I'm around 90kg and had no issues but I'd suggest you book a test ride to make sure it's suitable for you.

Mike's Machines Can I ask if you enjoyed this or the 1290 Super Duke better as a sports/naked?
@MikesMachines6 жыл бұрын
The Super Duke is a lot more comfortable than the Dragster for long hauls or day to day riding but the Dragster is my favourite of the two. It's lighter and a bit more nimble through the corners.

Nice review. Out of curiosity how tall are you? I'm 5'10 and was wondering how I'd look on the bike size wise.

Just over 6ft

I just bought that exact bike. What exhaust is that?
@MikesMachines6 жыл бұрын
It's made by Quat-D which is usually shortened to just the initials QD. If you search for QD Power Gun exhausts for an MV Agusta Dragster you will find it.

Great video Mike! Which did you like more? the 800RR ot the KTM 1290? Also... what's the point of pillion pegs on a bike like that? Made me laugh!
@MikesMachines7 жыл бұрын
The KTM is the better all rounder. It's very civilised and comfortable around town and yet a real weapon through the hills. Yet the MV ticks all my boxes. It's Italian, it's fast, it's good looking and it brings out the inner hoon, loved it! The pillion position however looks well dangerous, lol!
@gregharriage27927 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply Mike, I notice too the the 800 MV is also a tad more expensive at just about $29,000 R/A whereas the KTM is down towards the $24,000/$25,000 mark
@MikesMachines7 жыл бұрын
$29,000 is for the Dragster 800RC, the RR is between $25 - $26,000 new. There is also a Dragster 800RR Lewis Hamilton limited edition. I hate to think what that costs!
@gregharriage27927 жыл бұрын
Ahhhh I see, So price wise they're rather comparable? Personally, I would rather have the KTM but that's just me.
@Übereine7 жыл бұрын
Is an individual kind of naked or a slim female passenger can feel comfy there?
@MikesMachines7 жыл бұрын
The pillion seat is barely there. I'd pity anyone having to use it for any length of time unless they were small and very petite!

is the MV Agusta Dragster 800 RR Available in the USA?
@MikesMachines7 жыл бұрын
Yes, I believe so. It's listed on some USA dealer web sites.
@jakeboss63427 жыл бұрын
ok, thanks, I wasnt sure, because all the videos i seen about this motorcycle the people were in other countries speaking foreign languages
@obiefresco267 жыл бұрын
would the 800 be a good bike to start on?
@MikesMachines7 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't recommend it as a first bike. You really need something a little less demanding. It would be too easy to ride past your skill level on the Dragster as a learner.
@obiefresco267 жыл бұрын
ok so something with less power?
@MikesMachines7 жыл бұрын
Yes, a 400 - 500cc naked would be better suited to gaining experience on before spending big on something like the Dragster.
@enricomarzotto7 жыл бұрын
You can try the 675cc version

Looks beautiful, but is it reliable? It looks a like an expensive Buell. 168 kilos wet? Excellent review. I have subscribed.
@MikesMachines7 жыл бұрын
I can't really give an informed opinion on reliability from just a test ride. The weight is 168kg dry.

Thing about Australia is the speed limit for these 600cc and up motorcycles. Too much restriction.
@1997TL10007 жыл бұрын
The thing looks tiny! I'm 5'10 and I like the Dragster but I think I might look like a Gorilla humping a coconut, I'm grabbing a KTM 1290 Super Duke R as you've ridden both which is bigger in size as you seemed to be just about the limit of size for this bike.
@MikesMachines7 жыл бұрын
The KTM is the bigger of the two and a better all round bike in my opinion. I love the MV but the comfort of the Duke would win me if I could only have the one bike.
@1997TL10007 жыл бұрын
Mike's Machines Thanks! I've sat on the Dragster but didn't realize it was that tiny!
