Picking this model up pretty soon and found this helpful. A dealership in Minnesota has a surplus of 0 miles 2013-2014s so I’m purchasing one for a good price and going to be the original owner

The MV 800 and 848 evo corse are quicker around the track than the GSXR 750. The suzi is softer and makes for a more compliant road bike but it just looks soooo dull next to the Italians and the Triumph 675R.

that's just because they are more track focused bikes, Suzuki could do the same but they choose not to. if you took the money you saved from buying a 848 or mv and added a few extras to the gsxr it would leave them stood, you have to remember the gsxr has more power. those Italian bikes are pretty though, the latest gsxr isn't that good looking but the version before was

Are you saying it feels heavy or it is heavy? Isn't it the lightest bike in the 600-800 cc category?

it's not....Panigale 899 has a bigger engine but lighter weight

Why doesn't MV fix this? I've heard of some MV Agusta dealers not wanting to sell bikes to customers because of the lack of fuel mapping refinement.

obviously as the mv is a 800 im talking about the gsxr750 not the 600
@psttech429011 жыл бұрын
don't think they have the money to develop a complete new engine, the 675 probably sells off the back of supersport racing whereas a 800 wouldn't be able to compete so sales might be a lot lower so from a business point of view might not be worth it. they should look at a superbike though, maybe a 1100 and with the new evo rules coming in soon may actually be competitive
@lordfyrbane358711 жыл бұрын
No it isn't. The 848 evo corse has it beat as does the new 675R Trumpet.

Why does the bike hit a rev limiter at 13.5K but the gauge goes to 17K?
@smsnipes633210 жыл бұрын
You can adjust it im sure. My Daytona was the same way, I believe it is for typical street use, so that you don't over due the motor..
@psttech429011 жыл бұрын
i think they probably already looked at taking it out to a 800 and decided against it. yeah it would cost a hell of a lot more to bring a litre bike up but it would sell, a good example of that would be benelli when they brought out a superbike, took it racing for a few seasons and the road bike sold. people want what they see on the track.

Agree with the 1100 but not with the 800... Agusta used pretty much the same engine as the 675 but different stroke and etc. There's no reason why Triumph wouldn't be able to do the same... half that engine is ready, and they can even use the same frame and etc. It would cost less than developing the litre bike 'cause that one they would have to start from scratch.

what is with MV, every bike they have ever sold since they came back has had crap fueling, i love their bikes but not sure if i could live with one if it is really as bad as they say. dear MV, drop the EFI, drop the electronic throttle and go back to the mechanical stuff that actually works, not the shitty tech that doenst.
