MV Agusta F4 1000S Dyno Run

Dyno of my 2005 MV Agusta F4 1000S. Stock was 146hp. Today we hit 151HP SAE and 154HP STD. Only mods were an RG3 exhaust, EK 3D Chain, JetPrime Water Pump, Oberon Clutch Slave Cylinder, and a replacement fuel pump. From 7k rpm right before 11k rpm we picked up 10 horsepower everywhere.

@@Turbo329 Sorry for the late reply. Member Merc07 on the Mvagusta.net forum. I had a sudden bogging at low RPM issue pop up. That combined with higher than normal temps and a strange sound coming from the right side all said EBS failure. Merc's EPROM and EBS delete kit totally transforms the bikes throttle response in a beautiful way. Best $150 I have ever spent. Not only will I never have to worry about the EBS taking a dump, there is no more snappy throttle...just smoothness. Sorry for my ignorance but what is the EPROM and EBS? I’m new in all of this.

@@Eidrian111 The EPROM is the computer chip/brain that controls the ECU. EBS stands for engine braking system that is a known weakness on the early bikes s it can fail at any time and leave you stranded. If you swap out the standard Eprom chip with a custom one combined with a EBS delete plug, the bike is transformed. Go to MV agusta.net for more info.

Gorgeous bike. Some day I’ll have one. I want one of these 1000S because of the traditional paint scheme. I don’t like as much the color schemes of the 1078 312’s. And I don’t like at all the “new” F4’s.

Thanks man. I feel the same way which is why I never traded up. I’ve had mine since ‘06. The 1078 was awesome but I like the classic colors and wheels of the first gen 1000S. My only regret is not getting the single seat version.

08halit yep these are really powerful bikes. Plus it weights less than the busa so it’s faster.
