The symbolism in this video is really interesting. As others have mentioned, this song is about Hwasa talking to herself and trying to bolster herself. It's kind of all about the heartlessness and ruthlessness of the music industry and critics and how you have to basically destroy yourself to please them. But in this song/video, Hwasa is telling herself, "Let's not do that - you're worth so much more than that." Which is why we get the scene with her in the straight jacket cowering from pencils, but subsequently, then her freeing herself from the straight jacket and wearing it as fashion. She's very open about the toxicity of this life, her struggles living through it, and her goal of standing out from it. I love her for stuff like this. At the end, she's joined by her fellow group members, who all come to happily hang out with her and give her presents u.u Showing that, ultimately, they are her support and her friends and a great source of happiness for her.

The fact that she writes this song and the whole album for herself made her only a queen (her name is Maria). She is the first Korean female artist to debut at first place on iTunes US. She is the most selling female artist of 2020 and Maria is still on melon charts, she became one of the most listened artist in China, Maria became a trend on TikTok. She won best solo performance at Mama (the most famous awards in Korean). She has received hate since her debut, people don’t want her because she was different. During her trainer years she had economical problems so she decided to earn money recording songs for other famous groups. She risked to be excluded by the group (weeks before the debut ) because she didn’t want long hair and her ceo told her to not cut but she decided to do a pixie cut inspired by Rihanna (she is a huge fan of her) then she writes a solo song about Herself and she gave to the ceo who was impressed by her talent. Hwasa at first was the less popular member then in 2018 she took part to a Korean show “Hyena in keyboard” where she wrote a song with another artist (Loco) which became huge and popular. At the end of the year she took part with mamamoo at mama 2018 where she did a performance and she broke internet cause it went everywhere.In 2019 she realised twit which became so far a huge hit and it was considered by billboard one of the best kpop song of 2019. She has a lot of iconic moments . She deserves everything

NANIs!!! Mamamoo are K-pop's absolute vocal queens!! Hwasa was instantly my favorite. NOBODY on earth looks THAT badass and gorgeous!! She gives me vibes of like Raquel Welch early 60s. With vocals to match. I TOTALLY don't get her not fitting Korean beauty standards. She is her own standard. SHE IS 500% WOMAN!!! She particularly flaunts her body in these MVs. You get a lot of top to bottom, head to toe shots of her in firm fitting clothing. We know it's because Trolls continually attack her. NO WOMAN EVER looked this impressive. One more thing about Mamamoo. Have you noticed that they always dance towards the camera?? You don't see them doing the kind of formations other groups do in choreography.
