For the foreign fans coming from JCW, this is my explanation about the mv. Essentially the male character HATES drinking and what makes him drink. You find out that he drinks to remember his past love. He knows drinking is ruining his life, but event for that small moment… They are together…. And 3:05, while he’s trying to burn away all his memories of his past love, he decides to not do it and get drunk again to spend time with her. At 3:45, he ‘wakes up / passes out’ excited to see her, but immediately he see’s the reality… the reason he yearns for her, is because he is only remembering the good memories. He’s quickly disappointed at what the bad parts of his relationship, the true reason they broke up, and correctly decides to let go of her. And when he does, a small light shines on him as if he’s beginning to get rescued from the darkness. He wakes up, and that’s he wakes back up into reality as it insinuates that he’s going to stop drinking. The stare at 4:45 is JWC looking at us the audience, if you feel the same way, to wake up and stop drinking to remember a fake love. It doesn’t help. Wow… this MV filled an entire story into less than 5 minutes with SO much impact. Masterful cinematography and musical work! I fell in love with whoever was a part of making this song and MV!
