I know our girls were not extremely popular internationally and that's why you might not know them but I mean they were big way before this debut and before being part for a little bit of Hybe, they were members of GFRIEND which was one of the best 3rd generation groups, but sadly their last company Source Music, who they help to grow, betrayed them in the most horrible way and members were forced to disband. I'm so happy Eunha, Sinb and Umji decided to create this new unit and still follow their dreams.

I don’t know what sources they could have possibly have been reading, but even the most cursory of Google searches would show that the VIVIZ members are from GFRIEND. Yes, SinB and Eunha were former Bighit trainees, but they missed the most important detail in that they were picked-up by Source Music after that and were part of forming GFRIEND. Kind of a major oversight. I wouldn’t go so far as to call them GFRIEND antis, but it pretty suspicious they would miss this.

They were from the group Gfriend (one of the most popular kpop groups). They actually debuted 2015 and were under source music. In 2019 their company was bought by bighit. In 2021 the group suddenly disbanded. The other three member of the group Sowon, Yerin and Yuju went solo and their own ways and have contract with different companies. Umji, Sinb and Eunha signed with Big Planet Made Ent. and Bop Bop is their debut as a 3 member group. But since they already have 7 year experience it could be called a re-debut. Well for your information, this three girls are part of GFriend, the called queens of synchronization and one of the top GG's of the 3rd gen. GFriend NEVER were part of big hit, but HYBE, since this company buy at 2019 some of the Source music parts and became a society (just like plefis and seventeen). SINB is the only one member that was part of big hit, but then she moved to source music to debut with GFriend? Their comeback songs ROUGH AND NAVILLERA swept all the music show awards and broke another title of "Having the most music show wins in a Year". They also became the first 3rd gen group to have a "PAK" which means Perfect All Kill, and you get this by hitting no. 1 in all Korean streaming platforms. They continued dominating the charts for another 5 years, being part of "TeuReBleMaYeo" which means Twice, Red Velvet, Black Pink, Mamamoo and ofcourse Yeojachingu(Gfriend). They became the 3rd Gen girl group faces together with the other 4 groups above. Gfriend's company got acquired by bighit in July of 2019 releasing 2 mini albums and 1 full album under them. This debut was a big deal for a bigger reason than you think. GFRIEND was a legendary 6 piece girl group under source music (which HYBE acquired as one of their subsidiaries). Gfriend unexpectedly disbanded at the beginning of 2021 and it broke a lot of peoples hearts, but pretty soon after Eunha, SinB, and Umji announced they would re-debut as a 3 piece. This was such a special debut to be able to see some of the girls of Gfriend together again. Their last comeback before disbandment was called MAGO and I highly recommend it.

Okay, I can already tell you did NOT do your research. VVZ is formed by three former members of GFRIEND, which was considered one of the top 5 ggs of the third generation.
