First of all, this entire video highlights one of the major issues I have with not just MVCI but most Marvel related content nowadays. And that’s it’s catering or trying too much to be the MCU. Like, I get it. The films are super popular and successful but because everything related to Marvel has elements of the movie implemented in everything else, none of them have a sense of identity or a unique style. It just makes them look less of a franchise and more of a product placement to watch more of their content and it becomes blatant and soulless as the years goes by. This is apparent in the most of the animated series and especially this game. Stripping away the comic like style of the previous game for more “realistic” approach, signature themes for generic cinematic scores, the classic looks to the way they are stylized in the movies, etc. It just screams “pandering” not creative liberties. Second of all, I like to thank you YOYO DODO for taking the time to make this. Seriously, the back to back comparisons to the characters, from their models to their specials has to be immensely time consuming. All that while still showing what they have and don’t have in either game. Greatly appreciated for uploading an awesome video.

Everything is just off in MvC Infinite. The artstyle, the models, even the voice direction doesn't sound good compared to MvC3. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the last MvC we got, because if Marvel mandates the MCU style, it's impossible to go back to the comicbook stylishness of the previous games.

MVC3 looks very much like it came straight from a superhero comic book, while MVCI looks like a live action adaptation of a superhero comic book. Honestly I find both styles appealing in different ways, but generally I think the more colorful and vibrant aesthetic of 3 works better for a game like this. Also MCVI doesn't have Phoenix Wright so that makes it worse anyway.

I was right to have rejected Infinite when it was shown off before the launch. Even after they fixed it, it was still too late. The love that was put into the series was already dead. All I saw was a few new characters and a lot of missing characters. It looks pretty for HD graphics and that's all. The characters have an extra hyper combo and some look cool but UMvC3 is better overall. All X-Men, Amaterasu, Viewiful Joe, Phoenix Wright, Shuma Gorath, Hsien ko, Felicia, Tron, Jill, She Hulk, Crimson Viper, Jill, Deadpool, Task Master, -Venom- and probably more are missing. Still no Mega man or other characters from the first 2 games. They gave Morrigan at least 2 different accents in MVCI. What was wrong with her original voice? Hulk's subtitles for his victory in Infinite is weird. Don't put them there until he's about to talk. I thought they forgot his quote. They toned down everyone's body types too. What happened there? Was everyone jealous of their attractiveness? The combo potential is better in UMvC3. It seems like all of them are combo enders is MvCI. I'm going to go check the roster and gameplay for Infinite to make sure I'm not getting anyting wrong. Edit: Venom is there.

One of the things I hate about Infinite is how they made the characters too realistic. Firebrand doesn't look like Firebrand he looks like some weird Goblin with wings and veins. I also hate how inconsistent they are with making things look like they are based off the MCU. Like Captain America, Iron Man, Rocket Racoon, and Captain marvel look like they are more based off the MCU while Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Thor, Hawkeye(i liked his look im UMVC3), Thanos , Gamora, and Ultron get their comic looks which isn't bad but I hate how it's inconsistent.

Tbh, MVCI COULD be so much BETTER... 1. This is the risk if the game is tied to the story. (Number of stages) 2. This is the risk if the game really wanted to be cinematic. (3D Graphics and Characters models. I mean some of them are NOT that bad.) 3. Limitations on the characters from Marvel or Capcom (Honestly kinda sucks). 4. I don't care about the new Voice actors. But I do hope a better Voice Directors. 5. More variation style of soundtrack. Especially all fighters theme. 6. Infinity Stones is not a bad concept. But imagine 3 vs 3 PLUS Infinity Stones, THAT is crazy. Or maybe you can chooses 1v1, 2v2 or 3v3. 7. Choose Easy or Manual mode. It should come from how that level 3 is and how it looks and how good it is (and you can still add uniqueness to them, like ryu's level 3 in infinite). Like I don't like that someone like hulk or thor didn't get a level 3 but Arthur got one. also there isn't really anything unique about a level 3 when 40 characters in your game have level 3's. Granted not all added level 3's in infinite are amazing, but at least they got one.

Even though Hulk and Thor doesn't have level 3 you can utilize them well and their Hyper Combos gives good damage which leads to good combos wayback in UMVSC 3. The only improvement for level 3 is Ryu the others doesn't stand a chance compared to Ghost Rider's level 3 in UMVSC 3 to MVSCI

I was not talking how effective thor and hulk's level 1's are, I was talking about the fact that these two didn't get a level 3 at all. there are some other level' 3's that are improved from the UMVC3 version.

MvCI took things too seriously when it came to graphics, characters are made to look more realistic and not as cartoony, the voices sound like their movie counter parts, the music is made to sound like a movie soundtrack, heck even the plot is made to be serious with how "Our two worlds are forever merged, millions of people are dead and there's nothing we can do to fix this" It just doesn't... feel fun. Marvel 3 was over the top and goofy, it didn't care about making sense it embraced the crazy concept of Marvel and Capcom characters fighting and living on the same world.

I know they were going for a more realistic style on Infinite, but compared to Ultimate 3 they all look awful. The cell shading and vibrant colors of Ultimate 3 fit the aesthetic of Marvel way better than the realism approach in infinite. Honestly no clue how that even got past the concept phase, because it’s just a bad idea.

Part of what made Marvel vs Capcom very unique was that the fights in the game were VERY chaotic and many loved it that way. So to see them strip all of the chaotic parts of the gameplay so that MCU fans could enjoy it was the worst part of MvCI
