I have the 21 690, bought as a commuter for my 30k round trip to work. Way more fun than my T7 ever was, much more versatile. On open trails it dominates.

totally agree, the 690 is really well suited to SE QLD forests and so much fun. But not that many out there in the bush these days? I sold mine a few months ago after 22,000 km.......really miss it. Will get another one again in the future. Cheers

I traded the 690 in for a Norden 901 Expedition. Got a great trade price. I’ve Never owned a big ADV twin so thought it was time to try one. Before the 690 I had an FE 501. Absolutely loving the 901 for bigger ADV rides but I think the 690 suits this region better. Cheers

Absolutely love your channel, your a legend. 100% agree with you on the 690, brings a smile to my face and gives you the confidence to take on more technical solo rides knowing you can get out of most situations. Fuel range is the only drawback, although a fuel bladder is an easy solution if you know your going to be tight. I've also got a 990 which is great for the longer, fast open country rides but bit of a hand full in the tight stuff.

Its the small field of view that makes the footage look much slower than it is. If you put the lens mod on the gopro and crank it to hyperview, it gives better speed perception as you can see the trees on rhe sides of the trail in the peripherals that your eyes can see (that other action cams don't), inturn giving you a true perspective of speed. I can tell you are hooking by the way the bike is carrying through the corners and the jolts your head is taking even though theres stabilisation is on.

Yeah, this is true. However the flipside is the wider angle flattens out the hills more 😬 I need a wider FOV for the fast stuff and linear for the hill climbs, not that I have done much steep shit lately 🤔 Cheers man

I think this is what I miss on both my Aprilia and Beta... The aprilia is too heavy to get off the ground (and the electronics kinda also keep it glued down too) and the Beta has not pulled a wheelie since I lowered it.
