Good to see you back after the discouragement in that last video. Dream job? Had it right out of college (but won’t specify). Eight years later got married, started having kids, so I found a grownup job in aerospace for a grownup salary. Turns out I loved that one too. Now I’m pursuing the best life ever - retired! I don’t think jobs make you happy. I think you have to bring your own happiness to whatever you do.

Good question...I think if money was no object, I would own a Nordhvn 60 or 72, live on it, and make really cool videos every couple of weeks. On another note, I just want to remind you two that at least 15k people are very happy when you post a video. Think about that, making 15k people, and tens of thousands more over time, happy because you chose to do a hell of a lot of work in shooting, editing, and storytelling for hardly any money. THANK YOU very much..and your videos get better every time you post them. I still think music montages are a waste of time that takes away from the real stars, you two, but you are keeping them short at least. Great job!....more more more!

Gone from family most of the month, until you get more seniority! Sleeping in hotels a lot. Crazy pax, flight attendants, etc! Still, it was great! Growing up I only ever wanted to go to sea. I’ve spent my 35 year career at sea with both the Royal Navy and the Merchant Navy. Now I sit behind a desk looking after those on the ships so I now have my own boat. I can’t imagine life not on the water, it is my happy place. Love your videos and love Freedom. I know I’m 4 years behind , but I’ve been watching your videos you have for a bit now and I thoroughly enjoy the content. To answer your question , well I’m a helicopter pilot in northern Canada. Flying is and has always been a huge passion of mine. I’m a very experienced pilot and do a lot of different jobs. Anything from slinging drills for exploration into remote mountainous country to look for minerals. To fighting fires. To doing animal capture with biologists for research. Honestly though. If money wasn’t a factor. I would be doing exactly what you two are doing. I’d move my family into a boat and travel the coast. Right now I’m living that dream through your videos. So please keep up the awesome content.

I do have a story idea. I always wonder about the comfort of life on your boat. I need ammunition when my wife says, I bet you could never sleep on one of those boats because they have to be noisy." I would love to know if the heat, the air conditioning, the generator noise are all comfortable to deal with. Do you sleep really well on the boat? Do you run the generator pretty much the entire time you are on the boat? When you are having your morning coffee in some stunning cove are you listening to the generator hum and smelling diesel? We have small Sea Ray on a lake in Georgia and my wife loves every minute of our boating, but I have been working her for years to get a Norhavn and change our lives in a huge way, as you have done. Please give me some ammo by telling me that it's all good!
@mvfreedom4 жыл бұрын
rich noonan all great questions and we definitely plan to address them more in our liveaboard update video coming soon. But the short is that our boat is beyond comfy and we sleep like babies. We hardly run heat at night as the cabins stay very comfortable, and we have a medium down blanket and a throw that usually get us too warm. We also only generate two times per day, and in the morning it doesn’t bother us over coffee, but if we saw wildlife or bears like we do in BC we turn it off after coffee. We never smell diesel either which is nice. Your wife would be shocked at how great this boat lives, and if you have anything larger you’d really be talking 😉
