I used to throw a proton matrix. Never got this much flip to turn out of it. Usually it would do 1 or the other but not both. Nice for a smooth flip to holding straight with a pushing hyzer at the end. Or a nice straight throw with a gentle turn and a finish fade to bring it back center. Maybe it changed when they moved production in house because that was after 2016.

I got a proton lab second matrix in my Gyropalooza box. I love that thing. It’s purple just like yours too.

I have two, and they might as well be completely different molds. My older proto is dead straight. My newer Neutron is an absolute hook.

Just pulled mine off the shelf again and now making the bag. For me if flies like an a more torque resistant Echo and a polar opposite of my Proton Deflector. Only thing about it is that it does not like to be thrown soft.

Headwind in the over stable tosses. I saw the bush wind.

3 water carries back to back? What a sick course.

More Flippy. Yours fly like my electron one. My neutron one flies very straight with a little bit of fade and then my proton ones fly straight with a good amount of fade to them.

I that the circuit challenge as being more understable. The pink and purple more likely.

Discovered the Matrix late in the season last year. I had the Proton Matrix in a heavier weight and was not impressed. Who throws BuzzzOS very often. Then, I ended up with an Electron Matrix at 172gram. Oh baby! Now I have several b/c they do get beat-up to quickly. But super reliable and especially for Pushing Hyzer shots. FH or BH super friendly.

I have the 2016 Matrix - looks exactly like yours. No flight numbers. I cannot throw as hard as you, so no. It is not flippy for me. The current Proton Matrix is 5/4/-1/2. Mine is 168g and still too stable. The Electrons are 5/4/-1/1.5 and perfect for my arm speed and form. Actually prefer these over the HEX.

I agree! It's super reliable for Hyzer shots and my go to FH disc too.

I have a 172 proton and a 166 neutron and they are both about .5 more stable than this(both have the exact same flight). To me it has the same high speed flight as an Echo, with more fade.

That bad boy was flying great! Last time I tried one I remember not liking the hand-feel as much as my other 5-speeds, may have to just give it another try though.

Yeah the hand feel is kinda weird but the flight is amazing.

Love the matrix. I can smack it hard and flat and I know mine goes straight.

Wow. Mine is soo much more over stable. But I suppose I’m not throwing as fast or with as much spin as you.

Electron Matrix was the first disc I could throw level and straight. After it got flippy I reppaced with Proton Matrix. Became my favorite disc... then it was lost in water 😢 and MVP Proton production was crap last year. I'll find one I like this year. Proton Blue flies the best. 😎

Anyone else had a proton discs flight plate break? I've had 3. Weird.

For the purposes of this video, "more stable" means "more over stable". Also, the Matrix is not generally a turnover disc. Either that one was light weight, extremely beat in, or just an oddball one off.
@IceBergTV13 күн бұрын
The disc was 172g and not super beat in by any means. It also is now in the swamp lol

Seems like you got a beat in or flippy one. They should be more like a Reactor.
@flat_earth_deplorable13 күн бұрын
mines definitely more stable than yours but yours flipped in the headwind because it's less stable

@ThorHargrave13 күн бұрын
true but, I would say it flies more like a -2,1 (I have two of them and they are both flippier than I expected)
