Cosplay is one of the least bad thing about the genshin fandom. Cosplayers are hella talented. The thing that I hate about the genshin fandom are the ships and the gatekeeping, plus just the toxicity as a whole. I asked for help ONCE and three people got pissed at me because I didn't know how to fight a boss. PLUS if you ship a straight couple you also immediately get called homophobic whether you are LGBT or not.

The thing about shippers- THEY DRIVE ME NUTS- They ship ANYONE AND EVERYONE- and the logic they use for it? "Oh but Diluc and Kaeya are such enemies to lovers!" No, just because two characters are mad at each other doesn't mean "Oh look married couple behavior"!!! (which is SO toxic if you sit for a moment and think about it.) Or with Alhaitham and Kaveh? Basically, "And they were roommates!" Like uhhh no? Alhaitham literally has no interest in romantic relations, have you met the guy? He barely even likes to be around other people! And Kaveh can't stand Alhaitham and is only rooming with him because he has no where else to go! The thing that angers me the most? The shipping completely ruins platonic relationships. Everything gets shipped to the point that platonic doesn't exist. And that makes me sad. Personally, I would love to see some sweet friendships shown more than they do. But with fandoms like this? That almost NEVER happens. And this is why I try my best to ignore the Shippers in general. As hard as it is.

That last part is so true. It's what sucks about being a part of any fandom, and not only that, but the shipping. If two characters exist, and are in the frame for even 0.1 seconds, one or two people are going to ship it because "they would look cute", and send the entier fandom into stage one of a downward spiral. Look at the gravity falls fandom for instance; the ships there are wildly concerning😭.

as a person who's in the genshin impact, fnaf, omori, vocaloid, and tbhk fandom, i am nothing like any of these people- i like sticking to the lore wise- i'm a (soon to be) genshin impact cosplayer, and wanderer main! i simply love the game's lore even though it goes SO. DARK. i absolutely love the graphics and the story is good! the fighting techniques are so fun! (and yes i have a healthy life, take a shower, eat, sleep, and more) and Genshin Impact won mobile game of the year in 2022! (also this game can be in different platforms in pc, ps4, mobile, and i-pad!) and i love fnaf it caught my heart and i made a lot of friends from it-! i'm not the type of person that simps for animatronics- (love the lore too) omori is absolutely beautiful! the game captures how mental illnesses affect people (love you omocat) it was one of the most awaited games! vocaloid is an amazing fandom! i love the singing and the lyrics behind and i love the games on it too! tbhk (toilet bound hanako-kun) is an amazing anime and it comes for the artstyle! and i'm in the gacha fandom too! the gacha fandom is filled with amazing and talented people! remember there is always a good side and a bad side in the fandom and not always the gacha fandom is filled with kids! like wise fox that is 19, devil bona that is 15, and etc! Remember that there is always a good side and a bad side of a fandom so it's better to stay on the good side to be safe!

Wow, I'm a part of the Genshin fandom and I can't believe he didn't say what I hate about it. The cosplay is freaking awesome but the shippers are just *insane.* I went through the 5 stages of grief over a ship that stared *before someone entered the plot* actually becoming a thing. 2:09 YES EXACTLY! The game itself wasn’t too bad, plus it was nice seeing a rhythm game after so long without one, though the songs got grating after a while. The fandom is the REAL cancer. Way too obsessed with it, too many mods to easily get tired of (with cookie cutter formats), it drive away two of the fandom’s biggest creators due to harassment; the creators of the Whitty and Mid Fight Masses mods, it drove the game’s main creator to quit social media, and it easily provided the biggest blow to Pibby’s reputation with the sheer influx of mods. I was actually looking forward to Pibby, especially in an era where animation is getting treated like dirt, but FNF easily did the heaviest lifting in getting people to hate it, if not single-handedly causing the hate. And of course: GF is still only 14-15. It is THE GAME that I hate the most due to the fandom ruining it, even worse than Among Us using the same joke over and over, and Fortnite never shutting up. I am not kidding when I say this is similarly toxic to the League of Legends community; it may even surpass LoL in that regard. EDIT: 3:48 This is also why I hate Among Us: it is my second most-hated game behind FNF for this reason. Come up with better jokes.

I'm giving you an advice here: ignore what the fandom is, since unlike LoL, it's playerbase doesn't affect how the game is played. And while I agree that the fandom is as bad as the Undertale one in its worst moments, you can easily overlook that if you only focus on the positives... Like pretty much almost every fandom.

The thing with Undertale/Deltarune I think is that Undertale got _way_ too popular, and anything that gets popular enough eventually will have a lot of toxic fans (especially the younger ones). Deltarune on the other hand released years later and didn't get as popular as Undertale, so most people who like it today are either older or were in the Undertale fandom when DR came out. It sure may not be the best, but it's pretty chill compared to what Undertale was

The funny thing is, I'm an aggressive shipper, but in the manner that EVERY SHIP IS MY OTP. I love every ship, and no one can enrage me with a ship because, at best, I love the way they did the ship, and at worst, I fall in love with a ship I haven't seen before. Only times I get mad is if someone portrays a ship as actually super toxic. If what would normally be a toxic couple isn't toxic in a fanfic, I likey. An interesting thing about the Steven Universe fandom- to me at least, it kind of looks like back in the day it used to be highly toxic. However, things have changed and there's a whole new generation of fans due to a recent spike in popularity, also probably from Steven Universe Future as well, and they seem way less toxic than before. However, I'm a part of this newer wave, so I can't really say for sure if this is genuinely the case or not. This is just from what I've observed, seeing older content posted of SU vs New content.

The dsmp content is good yes but some fan works are strange. Not ALL fanworks are bad ( sad-ist animatics, passerine, butterfly reign, tommyinnits clinic for supervillains, most fanarts) but there are some weird dnf fanarts and smp fanfics. Technoblade puts it in a soulmate test or something and it says he and Abraham Lincoln are 91% compatible, so I guess they decided to make it into a fanfics. Theres another one i saw on AO3 I didn't check it out cause it said it had mature content as a tag titled Technoblade x Witcher or something

0:58 Ahaha, so, funny story. When I was around 11 I watched MLP, and one day, when it wasn't on TV I decided that I'd try to search up some episodes on KZbin. What I found instead was... fandom stuff... I clicked on a video with a very innocent-looking thumbnail with a vague title and what do ya know, it was a dramatic reading of a Rarity x reader smut fanfic (for those wondering, I think it was called something like "Bath Time With Rarity"). That one weirded me out quite a bit, but my spirit was not yet broken when KZbin then recommended me some sort of dark & dramatic MLP series which for the life of me I cannot remember the name of. Kinda wish I could just so I could go back and watch it and UNDERSTAND it, but KZbin prolly would've taken it down by now anyway. After that I distanced myself from MLP but I'm starting to watch it again for funsies (the REAL series, this time). Thanks for reading how I got mildly traumatized by Bronies and became temporarily repulsed by MLP, enjoy your next 24 hours.

Yeah, NGL the Byleth reveal trailer reactions was the moment I quit playing Smash Bros or being a part of it's community. Honestly, I think being a part of a bad multiplayer game fandom is worse than being a part of a bad book, movie/show or single player game fandom because at least with the ladder, you can enjoy the thing you like without having to interact with the fandom.
