That’s cool, and they are quite good to eat. Not a huge amount of meat but if you get a limit it makes a great appetizer! Lol

What time of year was this? From what I've heard, it's hard to hunt in Gambels / Scaled quail habitat without being in snake country.

We hunted Dec 5-7th so it would have been middle towards the later part of the season. I hate snakes so I would have showed you if I saw one lol.

Mearns opens 12/4 so it's cold enough to where the snakes are gone. Last yr, it was in the 30s at night for mearns opener.
